Just wanna know the most popular guys over the forums

I also have one karma till now and trying to improve answers to make them helpful for others.

The most famous one gulshanji,sarala,santosh and many other persons are having a high tough fight in the forums.

Gulshanji,abid,santosh are the people who dominate in forum.

I understand the use of this function and it does add a feel good factor....but I have a query.... how do you control the "smite" factor in this function... is there any way to track the misuse of this option without bothering the moderator for this now and then?

What you raised is a real question.I also had asked this when I joined the site.Karma here is not a real appreciation in my sense.

There is no way to stop use or misuse of 'karma' button. This depends entirely on members. Just as good voters send good representatives, good members will give karma points judicially. Moderators need not bother about this aspect. The members should also not bother more about this. Real achievement is in getting more points and cash.

I think instead of Karma, we should make them popular who has achieved the rank of moderator in this site. That is the work of merit. The tallented people are moderators in this site. What do you say?

Posting more replies means that he is more active. But popularity is judged by number of karma.

Its simple like giving vote to someone.
everyone has a karma option just below the their picture.
If some other person likes your availability and post so they can add one karma to you by clicking on '+' button.

As more as clicks will get done on your profile karma will get incremented.

Instead of questioning about that post again and again, all you could have done is click the Report button. That way I or any of the other moderators could have seen this early and deleted it immediately!

I have repeated this on several occasions and do so again, Please please click on Report button as soon as you see such topics. Do not waste your time by asking that user what he means, he is a spammer and is not going to answer to your post! I think we all are very much aware of what a spam post is by now!
