I am second to replied sorry that i did not become first to replied.

But most of our members have no knowledge about Karma points and are very rarely giving to others.So it should be restructured.

I seen so many members asking about karma. Once Maverick sir told what is karma in one of the topic.

Then only i came to know. I didn't had single karma. I will try to increase it.

Can anyone explain karma in english .I am From UP so still not able to understand its actual meaning.

Hey, I have just made it with Karma 5! What does it translate to ? I am not that unpopular! Ha!

Most of the users do not have knowledge of Karma system as it is something new on forums. So getting positive karma rating is bit difficult as most users do not use the system. To increase the awareness of what the Karma system is, I have started this topic.

The main idea of the Karma system is to give thumbs up to the member who is helpful to other by posting good informative content, resolving new user queries, actively involving in the discussions. This is one way to motivate the people to do much better. It is something similar to give some appreciation or giving Thank you to the member.

So this topic give the insights of boddunan members who are more popular as well as helpful to others. And the new members can find the person who they think is most helpful and put them their query right from this topic or from any other topic.

And another important thing you should consider that the people will remember those who are popular on some community and can discuss about the good things they do or point to the topic/article of the popular member. This way you will get a good identity on the world of communities.

So guys I hope you understand why I have started this topic and please do let me know if you have any other questions.

For me raaghavan krishnamurthy is very helpful and everyone of the boddunan members are helpful like maverick, das, deepthi, lohit....

Now I got the point...whenever i find someone helpful i will increase their karma points... :)

Santosh Kumar singh- 'Karma' is Hindi word and being from U.P., you must be aware of the meaning. Literally, 'Karma" means 'work'. But in Boddunan, this meaning is not significant. Your Karma is marked as '2'. This is the number of votes other members gave you. I am going to increase it. It will be '3'. This is at top right of your post.

This will not only go in spreading goodness in this forum but also in every one's personal life. As members will get a feel good factor when their karma is increased by others.Indeed a good thought.

Here there are many active members with less Karma.I think Karma is less cared by members.Can one know who had increased his Karma?

Hi friends after a month passed I saw this forum and I also have got karma more than 5 so I think after Abid I am the second person who is having karma 5 above in this forum.

i have no understand that when i give thumbs up to any person it increase there Karma and it will also increase our karma.I have only one karma right now.
