    Presently I am using IBM laptop. I would suggest you to go for IBM. It's battery is better.
    In general, laptop battery of all companies does not last for than 1 year. Its power starts diminishing.

    I listen Dell laptop battry life is good its stay for 5 hours if its new then its stable for 3 hours.

    i am using hp ,the backup is good it is lasting for 3 to 4 hours

    Dell Laptop has best battery back. The battery has 8 hours back up

    Dell and Hp laptop has better battery backup but should have original charger otherwise the different charger can rise a fault in battery.

    Recently i purchased dell laptop. it is very nice to handle and battery back is good. and service also good

    I am also using Dell laptop but battery backup is 4 to 5 hours max. but better then other laptop.
