Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

In his book, Kalam has stated that he never obstructed Sonia Gandhi. He categorically states that had Sonia Gandhi stake her claim to Prime Minister job, he would be left with no option but to appoint her as P.M. In fact, kalam was surprised when Sonia proposed Manmohan Singh.

Congress is not against Kalam. It is a policy not to give second term for President to any one.

That is quite possible ! But one can see the congress fraternity distancing themselves from Abdul kalam, may be he is too upright a person ..

Maybe that is reason!

Oh so that is the reason that congress never supported Kalam to be the president of India.

In fact, he appears close to BJP. Congress and left will not support anyone close to BJP.

Apparently, BJP and other NDA constituents favor Kalam more. Congress will not prefer anyone sponsored or preferred by BJP.

Right from the days of Indira Gandhi , Congress has ruled the nation like they owned it, continues to this day where Sonia Gandhi has gone one step further - controlling and pulling the strings from behind and when something goes wrong the entire congress crowd falling over themselves to take the blame ! pathetic state of affairs...

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

But today Kalam said that he was not allowed to go in Gujarat riot case by NDA.

Kalam has expressed many things taking view that he could or could not act in certain way. This appears controversial. A President can never go against opinion of government. At best, he may return a bill once for reconsideration or delay but ultimately Prime Minister or Union cabinet view prevails.

For example, he says that he regretted imposition of President rule in Bihar for which he wished to resign. But he had no alternative but to act according to Cabinet decision. If the cabinet decision was wrong, Not the President but the Prime Minister and Home ministry would be responsible.
