The first line in our Pledge to the nation is "All Indians are my Brothers and Sisters"Does any politicians really follow this?
Conclusion:

I like to conclude by stating that corruption can never be eradicated and we can however minimize the corruption by bring strong and severe punishment for involving in corruption and also who enforces to get corruption.

As many have stated that all politicians should not be in a post for a maximum of two times.
Corruption not only has become a pervasive aspect of Indian politics but also has become an increasingly important factor in Indian elections.

Politicians have become so closely identified with corruption in the public eye that a Times of India poll of 1,554 adults in six metropolitan cities found that 98 percent of the public is convinced that politicians and ministers are corrupt, with 85 percent observing that corruption is on the increase.
To sum up: The root cause of corruption is individualism and family loyalty as against nationalism and patriotism. Parliamentary system involves costly elections and despite other merits, is major cause of corruption.

We need following short term and long term measures for eradication or minimizing corruption:

(1) Cultivate spirit of nationalism and initiate strong public awareness and opinion against promotion of self and family at cost of nation
(2) State funding of elections. Individuals not be allowed to fight elections in independent capacity nor to incur personal expenditure. The political parties be state funded and required to get party accounts audited.
(3) Strict punitive system. Death penalty/ flogging be introduced for corruption
corruption is a shame on our great nation. Evidently this is system failure. The Govt in Power can change the senioreo, as seen the Delhi was completely changed before CWG by the same poeple. Only what happened that clear message was there no nuisance. Shows our system is capable but the vested interests r taking its advantage.
Friends,
the discussion is going to end today. So conclude your discussions.
We the people need to become politically active and get off the fence. I am also guilty of this and have been seeking more political knowledge.

Also if you can't run for an office of some sort to stand up against tyranny then support the people who care about our country.
So the discussion is over. Thanks to all for making this discussion a lively one.The results will be published soon.
