MG Singh created new article Allauddin Khilji, the man and and his life.
Allauddin Khilji is an important name in Indian history. As can be seen from the map above he ruled a massive empire and his vassals extended right up to Madurai. The darker area is the one that he personally administered and the light green are the vassal states who paid him tribute. Allauddin thus has a significant place in the pantheon of Indian rulers. Such a massive empire which is only rivaled by Ashoka, cannot be negated. Now there is a film made titled "Padmavati" which show the character of Allauddin poor light. What was Allauddin like? Was he a bigoted man or a man who was a visionary? Much of Allauddins reign is covered by historical fact as a writer Amir Khusro lived during his time and chronicled everything. His birth is in obscurity and one cannot pinpoint when he was exactly born, but there is evidence that he was born in 1266/67. He was born into royalty and his uncle Jalaluddin Khilji was the Sultan of Delhi.
Rise and marriage
Allauddin was born in Birbhum in Bengal and he was sent the Court of his uncle Jalaluddin by his father Shihabuddin Masud. As per all accounts, he was Sunni Muslim. Records of his early years are sketchy till he came to Delhi and won the support of his uncle, the Sultan. Here he is reported to have won the heart of the daughter of the Sultan named Malika-e-Jahan and married her. He thus became the son-in-law of Jalaluddin. He was given significant appointments by his father-in-law, but by all accounts, the relationship between the two was a stormy one as Allauddin had a roving eye for other women. In addition, his wife was egged on by her mother and she wanted to be assertive and this again led to clashes between the two. Allauddin was appointed the master of ceremonies and given the title Amir-i-Tuzuk. His father-in-law trusted him implicitly and despite warnings, did not guard himself against Allauddin. In 1296, after a meeting he killed his uncle and became Sultan. From now on, his reign is well documented.
Military Prowess
Much of Allauddin's claim rests on his military prowess. I can say that without reading the "Principles of War" by Clausewitz( he wrote this in the 19th century). the Sultan of Delhi followed them implicitly. His first success was against the feared Mongols whose ancestor in the 12th century had ravaged the known world. In a series of battles in the North West Frontier and Afghanistan, Allauddin beat the Mongols with his greatest victory coming in 1306 on the banks of the river Ravi. By that time he had captured a slave named Malik Kafur with whom he became infatuated.
His military prowess continued down south and in 1303 he captured Chittor. Amir Khusro has recorded the victory but makes no mention of the tale of Rani Padmavati. No chronicle of the court of that period mentions about Padmavati. The only reference is in a poem written by a Sufi Muslim Jayasi who wrote this tale about 250 years after the death of Allauddin. Probably its mostly fiction but Amir Khusro writes that all Hindus prostrated themselves before Allauddin and when they bent their heads the entire ground was covered with their tilaks. This means that Allauddin spared all Hindus and killed only those that opposed him. This was also applicable to Muslims. He vanquished Gujarat and Raja Jayapal agreed to his overlordship and so did the kings of South India.
Allauddin was a master general and marshaled his forces expertly. He understood the principles of concentration of force, retreat, and counterattack as he defeated all the Hindu kings as he had done the Mongols.
Love life
Allauddin was both gay and normal. He liked women and also loved a slave. This is recorded in the books at that time and show the Sultan as a passionate man. He had four wives, two of whom were Hindus. The Hindu wives were Kamaladevi who was the earlier the wife of King Karna who died fighting Allauddin. His second Hindu wife was the daughter of King Ramachandra named Jhatyapali. By all accounts, he loved the Hindu wives fiercely and had children with them. He also married the daughter of the Gujarat king to his son.
The relationship between Malik Kafur, the slave and Allauddin is also part of this scenario. He began to like the slave and now many historians have written that the slave had captivated the Sultan and had a relationship. Allauddin promoted him to be a general and later he led the army of Allauddin. There is another side to this as well, during his last years Allauddin became ill and Malik was the only man who had his trust. There are some reports that he may have killed the Sultan to seize power, but that is another tale.
Administration and governance
The Cambridge Economic history of India records that Allauddin's taxation system was probably the one institution from his reign that has survived the longest. Surviving in India till the 19th and even the 20th century. This is no mean achievement as he started the land tax and did away with the middlemen. In this, he greatly helped the Hindu farmers who were oppressed by landlords and Nawabs who were mostly Muslim. Allauddin set up a system of tax collectors all over India and paid them from the government treasury. Any corruption by them merited a death sentence. He was the first Indian ruler to set up an administrative organization reporting to him and this was followed by the Mughals and later the British. A system of land tax is even now followed by independent India.
Allauddin set up the first revenue department in Indian history. He deserves a better place in Indian history.
Allauddin was the most important Sultan of the 12-14 century and kept India safe from Mughals till Babur came in 1526.

The Incident at the Akashdeep Estates - part 3
In fact Mahesh anna’s visit paved the way for closer ties and interactions between my family and his own although we did not get to see much of Shalini who preferred visiting her parents in Bangalore and spending time there rather than be with her husband. But we got to know Mahesh’s aunt Rohini and her son Arvind, who visited us twice when they came to our town to attend our relatives' weddings and other social functions. Arvind would show a lot of interest in me, complementing me all the time which was like music to my ears and so did Rohini aunt.
Here, I have to tell a little about my self, although my family loved me and showered me with affection and care, they made no secret of the fact that my older sister Sunita was the beauty of the family. Sunita, after rejecting several suitors, was finally married to a software Engineer last year and the wedding cost my family all the savings that was my father’s life time earnings, since my sister wanted the best of everything for herself and for her wedding. Now she lived with her husband in Mumbai constantly grumbling about this and that, also putting forward some demand or the other. But my elders saw nothing wrong with it, bending backwards to fulfill her demands which angered me no end.
Being constantly compared to two beauties in the family Sunita and Shalini, I had developed a huge complex and any compliment that came my way was music to my ears. So, I was very happy when Rohini aunt and Arvind visited us. Arvind was a law graduate and although he was friendly and pleasant, I had the feeling that he was under tremendous pressure , which he was cleverly managing to keep under control. This was something I discovered once when he lost his temper at our dog when it accidentally came his way and he kicked and screamed at it with such ferociousness that I was shocked and so were the others. His mother was forever watching over him and very protective of him which to me was understandable, given the kind of pressure under which he was living and it was totally surprising and intriguing as well. I was not sure how to deal with him, his moods and his compliments.
A proposition
Suddenly, one day Mahesh anna visited us and he looked quite disturbed since he kept pacing up and down and finally after being asked many times , told us that he was worried about Shalini. I secretly wondered if Shalini was hatching some new plot to capture everyone’s attention simply because she was bored living in the Estate. There was not much of a social life there since the nearest small town, if it could be called that, was 4 kms away and had no shopping malls or any of the other attractions that Shalini was so fond of.
Mahesh anna spoke about her state of mind , how sometimes she would spend days together in her room wearing her night gown, refusing to come out and meet others, express fear and suddenly become agitated at the slightest reason and so on. It was definitely unlike her. Mahesh anna felt that Rohini aunt and Arvind could hardly help since they simply could not deal with her. When my mother and grand father suggested that she may need counseling he agreed but said he wanted to keep it as the last option.
He further went on to say that he had spoken to Shalini at length and what he had gathered was that she was depressed and wanted to have someone her age at the estate with whom she could communicate. Mahesh anna in turn felt that if she could confide in someone who she trusted it might help her recover. I thought that if at all, Shalini with her airs and highhandedness could only drive others into depression and felt that Mahesh anna being totally in love with his wife was exaggerating her mental state and suffering, if any !
However, Mahesh anna was totally convinced that his wife was depressed and she needed to be cared for and looked after by one of her own family members, as he discussed the issue with my family members. I could see that all were very sympathetic . He suddenly came up with the suggestion that I should be the one to do so since we were cousins and I was the only person who was in a position to do that . To say that I was shocked at this unexpected suggestion, was an understatement . I was a little annoyed too with Mahesh anna for being so completely absorbed in his wife that he refused to see beyond her beauty and understand her selfishness and greed. So much so that he was becoming insensitive to others feelings and realities as well. I flatly refused his suggestion and went out into the garden and sat on the little branch of the guava tree which was my favorite place especially when I was angry or in a bad mood. I had another reason for refusing, what about my own little job which helped us financially, how could he not realise that? For someone like Mahesh anna what I earned might have seemed like peanuts but for my family it was very much needed.
I heard someone calling out to me and saw Mahesh anna who had followed me into the garden. He came and stood by my side, resting his hand on the branch and was quiet for a minute after which he started speaking. This is what he said..
“ Anita, I don’t blame you for refusing because I have not been very diplomatic nor have I made my intentions clear. I tend to get carried away with regard to anything that concerns Shalu, you may say that is my weakness…”
He was quiet for a minute as he was obviously overcome with feelings and was contemplating ..then he went on ..
“When I married Shalini, I knew that I could not make her completely happy because she was used to living in cities and was fond of socialising. So I made sure that she had all the freedom to go where she wanted and visit her parents and friends as and when she wanted. But, of late I see her hardly showing any interest in either visiting her parents or even venture outside the estates.“
“ I am also in need of someone who could help me with my accounts and other clerical work concerning the estate. I thought of you as the right person, since it would serve both the purposes. I will be paying you a salary like I have done before to my assistants "
When he quoted the amount he was planning to pay me I nearly fell off the branch since it was almost three times the amount I received at present. But the thought of leaving my family was not easy. So, I asked Mahesh anna to give me some time to think things over and decide, to which he agreed readily. After Mahesh anna left we sat and discussed the matter with everyone pooling in their own opinions. My brother called me The Queen's maid and this angered me a lot, but I also decided that if at all I went, I would go there as an assistant to Mahesh anna and not as The Queen's maid..

India is doing well despite all the odds we are facing in different areas for strange reasons. However, I can only say that if India is marching ahead, it's due to the private sector. Here are some examples-
Indian Car Market Growing Up at Crazy Speed
Indians are almost crazy about cars and we have almost every car brand manufactured anywhere in the world although Maruti Suzuki still remains the most popular brand in our country. I live in National Capital Region with largest number of cars and models in the country compared to other states. By the way, you can see latest model of any car brand within a month of its launch anywhere in the world in New Delhi and surrounding areas no matter how much does it cost.
New Delhi Organizes Auto Expo every alternate year in collaboration with Automotive Component Manufacturers Association, Indian Car Manufacturers the Indian Automobile Manufacturers Association and Confederation of Indian Industries. Auto Expo is perhaps the second largest car Expo slightly behind the one organized by Shanghai in China but attracts almost all the car manufacturers with best technology in different car segments. The last Auto Expo in Delhi brought almost 125 thousands car lovers daily to the venue.
Indians are not only car lovers but they love speed as well and ever since the F1 came to India in 2011 in Buddha International circuit, having the fastest of racing tracks in Greater Noida, an Industrial town in NCR region close to New Delhi. The Indians are buying cars in large numbers and if the increasing number of vehicle registered in Delhi is any proof you can find that in this statistics that number of four wheelers registered in 2015 in Delhi only has crossed 3 million units against a little over 2 million in 2010 so far and still counting despite the fact that the Delhi government has imposed a ban on 2000CC or more diesel cars with immediate effect.
Delhi and other metros of India have been organizing vintage car rallies for long time now. February 2015 saw a grand vintage car rally that took off with a 21 guns’ salute. There were 135 cars including a Rolls Royce 1912 model in that rally organized by 21 Gun Salute, the lavish retro dining spot that mainly serves Indian food and Heritage Motoring Club of India.
The Story of Indian Motorbikes
The story of two wheelers, which fascinated youth of this country in for long time, is very interesting is picking up at a fast rate. The story of Indian automobile especially the motorbikes begins from 1950 as the Indian Army and police needed more vehicles but then there were no auto manufacturers in India but we imported them from England and later began assembling them at Madras (Chennai).
The first motorbike assembled in India was Royal Enfield-350 CC that still remains one of the most prestigious brands in Indian market although lot sleeker and light weighted compared to original model. With arrival of Lembretta scooter in India the people that wanted something in lighter category which encouraged Vespa from Italy later as Bajaj in collaboration with Bajaj group became one of the most popular among Indian users.
After that many more brands introduced their brands namely, Yamaha, Honda, Hero with different Japanese groups and their own brands. But the real two wheeler story changed in the year 2000 with introduction of Pulsar by Bajaj group which is still the most preferred bike of Indian youth followed by Discover also from Bajaj group, Thunderbird by Royal Enfield, Gixxer by Suzuki, Activa by Honda etc and innumerous other brands by different manufacturers.
The famous British brand Triumph has launched its 1699 CC bike Cruiser for INR 1.6 million ($25,000+) and this is not the first bike of its kind in Indian market but Kawasaki, Harley Davidson, Ducati Honda, Benelli etc all have made their presence felt with Indian motorcycle lovers.
The Story of Indian Jewelry Market
Jewelry has always been the part of Indian society. The gold rate going constantly down India’s import is likely to reach 1,000 tons by the year end as the marriage and festive season increases the demand. We have solid proofs that Indians have been using gold, pearls, diamonds and other precious stones as jewelry and the Indian jewelry history dates back to 3000 BC.
Before going into detail of Indian society’ interest in Gold and jewelry one must know that India was divided into hundreds of different states and small kingdoms ruled by different dynasties as monarchies having entirely different cultures and tastes. Every single state had its own lifestyle as that reflected in their jewelry’s designs as well.
For instance, the jewelry in Punjab and J&K is different from Bihar and Bengal. The silver filigree work of Andhra and the jewelry of tribal Orissa are different from Rajasthan's enameling work. Uttar Pradesh is famous for Brass and German silver wares and Delhi area is known for pure gold jewelry.
Indian jewelry and precious stone is one of the fastest growing industries during last couple of decades. India imports tones of gold but exports jewelry to entire world market. According to the world gold council India is second largest importer of gold but Indian jewelry industry is playing a big role in growing its economy especially in earning foreign currency. As per the jewelry industry sources the Indian jewel and gem industry is expected to grow to the tune of $50 billion from current $35 Billion.
The Indian government has taken steps to encourage jewelry and precious stone industry that is already providing employment to almost 3 million people and is capable of adjusting 2 million more in next few years. At the present rate of growth the Indian Gem and Jewelry Industry is expected to double within 2-3 years. Overall the Indian gem and jewelry industry is contributing 5-7% to Indian gross domestic product.
According to the Associated Chambers of Commerce of India the branded jewelry market is growing at a considerable rate and has captured almost 20% market share and expected to reach to 30% by 2020. The online Indian jewelry business share at present worth $200 million is expected to grow at the rate of 50 to 60% per year.

Indian Growth Story in Electronics Sector
The developed world thinks that India is a backward country and you can find comments to such effect spread all over the internet. But the fact is India is one of the largest markets of consumer products in the world especially in electronics field. Indian growth rate in consumer electronic is constantly growing at a brisk pace and will remain so until next decade or so.
I will use financial terms in American dollars for the benefit of readers that India is all set to reach $20 billion target annually within a very short time in consumer electronic consumer sector. According to Consumer Electronic & Appliances Market Association (CEAMA) the apex Industry Chamber for the Consumer Electronics and Home Appliances Industry of India, consumer electronics sector in India is growing at a rapid rate and it will remain the same during next decade.
There is no denying the fact that India did not do well in the first 2 decades after independence especially in electronics sector but its entire information source was limited to radio transmission but the story today is altogether different especially after liberalization of Indian economy in eighties. The Indian market today is full of consumer electronic items including costly mobile phones, cameras, television sets, refrigerators, air conditioners, computers etc.
The Industrial Revolution
Actually the entire revolution in electronics sector in India had started in 1965 itself but it was in initial stage. India did not start its television until 1959 that was limited to few cities but it spread considerably in seventh decade of last century when it spread in several metro cities. The Asian games held in 1982 changed the entire scenario of TV viewing in India but still dependent on imported TV sets. Same was the story in refrigerator industry as we did not have a refrigerator manufacturing unit until Kelvinator came to India in 1960.
Today, the Indians are one of the largest buyers of mobile phones, refrigerators, camera, TV, air conditioners, cars, washing machines and computers. India is attracting investment in manufacturing sector from all over the world. In fact super powers are trying their best for entering into Indian markets. India imports millions of mobile handsets today but the recently introduced program “Make in India” by our Prime Minister is gaining momentum and we shall soon be self sufficient in hardware sector and you all know we are already undisputed king in software sector.
Home Equipment and Appliances in India
It would sound like boasting but the fact that India is among the top countries with most number of domestic equipment consumers. Indian domestic manufacturers are not only producing large number of equipments and appliances but producing them with in competition with world’s best manufacturers. Companies like Super Domestic, TTK Prestige, Bajaj Electric, Hawkins, Havells India, Siemens, Crompton Greave, Godrej, Samsung India, Voltas, Usha etc are doing a wonderful job providing quality appliances for Indian consumers and for export purpose.
Indian manufacturers took a hint from their foreign counterparts after the independence and soon entered in collaboration with different foreign companies but we have several indigenous companies playing the role of leaders among gadget manufacturers. If we go by the recent surveys the domestic appliances refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, kitchen chimney, microwave oven are fast reaching to maximum Indian households at a brisk rate and refrigerator still remains the most sold appliance of all these equipments.
Indian Manufacturers
India and Indian manufacturing sector has improved a lot in last couple of decades. For instance, an Indian couple living aboard introduced a bread making appliance two years before which became an instant hit and now being sold in large numbers by different manufacturers. The story of Indian manufacturing sector began post independence but Indian government kept large manufacturers out of domestic appliances sector but kept this limited to smaller and cottage industry sector with a maximum investment limit. The appliances like ceiling fans, heaters, Irons and table fans were reserved for small industry sector only.
The bigger groups like Bajaj and Usha were selling these products under their own brand name with their strict quality control but when the limit was taken off later and the bigger players like Birla and Tata entered into the field of manufacturing, the Indian domestic appliances scenario changed entirely. Now our appliances have become smarter, consume lesser electricity and work according to need of the consumer. For instance the washing machines manufactured a decade back had a single speed rotation but the modern technology used now let the washing machine do everything on automatic basis from water level to the drying point. Overall the Indian appliances and equipment has reached to a point where we can compete with international market.
The Increasing Electrical Equipment Market in Rural India
The demand of electrical equipment is shifting toward rural India which is growing by leaps and bounds in last decade or so. And it is interesting to note that the electrical equipment is not limited to ceiling fans, table fans and electric bulbs but villagers are buying geysers, blowers, heaters, LED lights, coolers, television and air conditioners. Almost 30-40% rural households own refrigerators and 10 to 15% have air conditioners at present which is expected to double by 2020.
There are different reasons for increasing sales of electrical equipment in rural sector so far limited to urban or semi urban areas is increased power supply, facility of easy installment bases payment and better awareness in villagers through television advertisements. Crompton Greave, Havells India, GEC, HBL Power, Emco, Techno Electric, Swelect Energy, Bharat Bijlee, Jyoti, Easun Reyrl, Lakshmi Ele and IMP Powers are some of the thousands of Indian electrical equipment manufacturers with target in billions from rural markets.
Rural Market Consumers
As per the market surveys the existing share of rural market which is 35% at the present time is increasing at with an annual growth of almost 25%. We can include the existing users who are willing to replace their existing equipment with new ones which consume lesser electricity mainly refrigerators and air conditioners and of course the newly introduce LED lights. It must be worth mentioning at this point that the LED bulbs have already started showing their impact on old fashioned high power consuming bulbs especially in Bihar state but most of these units are fast converting to production of LED bulbs.
The rural India is fast converting to conventional style and becoming high-tech with increased power supply taking to washing machines, induction cookers, hotplates, heaters, fridges, geysers, coolers and air conditioners etc. As the trends show the demand of electrical equipment is expected to reach $100 billion by the year 2025. The Indian markets and manufacturers of electrical equipment along with consumers are expecting a lot in coming years.

Startup India- Stand-up India
The heading of this post may sound like a slogan but it’s all about Startups program commenced by our government for supporting the small industries and agreeing to industrial world’s recommendations provide facilities to startups in order to speed up manufacturing sector of India.
Industrial world has been constantly requesting government to share its resources in the field of research and technical knowledge for better use technology available for rapid growth of industry in the beginning stages. Our policymakers believe that the younger generation should become self sufficient, job providers and not job seekers that will solve the problem of unemployment. Maybe it will take some time but we are moving in right direction.
The best the government could do for these was to setup schemes for these smaller units at the startup level was to fund them at the basic stage and provide help to industrialists in making. The best support these entrepreneur need to develop their business will be provided by the experts of the field under the guidance of Indian Institutes of Managements and Indian Institute of Technologies with business ideas and expert business expertise.
It was very much apparent during last couple of meetings in between Indian government and industrial world’s top players that government is ready to allocate funds under this head for providing technical support on priority basis. As far my knowledge goes the Indian government has already selected 10000 start ups so far and has begun provided them enough funds for their development.
The government has been advised to send all the proposals coming for add to be sent to concern IIT for an appropriate amount to be allocated to the start ups depending on their size and production probabilities. I tried to get the exact amount but despite my best efforts I could not find the funding amount as it’s not disclosed.
There is another infesting recommendation by chamber of commerce and industrial development committee that government should give priority to startups in its purchase policy to encourage them although government sources do not find it appropriate unless these units prove their quality. However, the government is prepared to provide them tax rebate to enable them to become competitive in the market.
Reality market- A Real boom
The Urban population of India is almost equal to what is total population of America and England combined together and adding at the rate of 12-15 million more every year. There have been 2,800 more cities added in India during last decade itself and now the total number of city count has crossed 8000. Despite such a big number of cities at least 200-300 million Indians still need a home because either they are homeless or living in poor conditions.
A home is a basic need of everyone and the growth of middle and lower middle class has increased the demand of homes in India in last couple of decades. The way the real estate sector is increasing rapidly the chances are the Indian real estate business will touch $180billion by the end of year 2020.
The men have always been eager to own a home ever since they learned about construction maybe they related owning a home with their ego satisfaction but it has become a necessity today. The real estate sector divided in 4 main categories namely, residential, hospitality, retail and commercial but the residential sector with major share of the growth story is increasing at the fastest rate at 20% per annum.
The real estate business in India is working overtime in India and the residential units are coming up so fast but still not able to keep up with the demand. The outer areas big cities and nearby villages and smaller towns are witnessing construction activities in form of high rise apartments coming up at brisk pace.
The NCR region is perhaps growing at the fastest rate in India in all four categories as highways, metro networks, stadiums, hotels, and colleges are either under construction or in the pipeline in the coming year. The real estate players like Ansal, DLF, JP, Oberoi, Unitech, Omax, Mantri Developers are some of the players in top group of Indian real estate business. Unfortunately, some of these companies are facing hard times recently due to their unreal approach and inefficiency in handling the situation.
Indian Banking Sector Going Up
Indian banking sector is in a position to reach to fifth rank in global banking industry by the year 2020 and third largest financial industry by 2025. Indian banking sector is developing at a brisk pace supported by Indian economical development, increase in personal income of the people on the whole and availability of loans is showing a constant upward progress.
If we take credit off take into account it has already reached to the tune of US$ 1090 billion for FY 2015 and it has been constantly showing upward trend in retail and corporate sectors equally. If we have to believe financial experts it is expected to reach to US$28500 billion by 2025 which if reached will not be a mean achievement.
The story of success for Indian banking industry started in 1935 with the establishment of Reserve bank of India that set the rules and guidelines for transparency in banking industry and also took the responsibility for setting monetary policies of the country with a proper control on banks, currency flow, operation and exchange of foreign currency, management of banks and control on financial rating.
The Indian banking sector saw some ups and downs after independence and a strong demand for nationalization of the banking sector was on the cards and it turned into a reality in 1969 through an ordinance. In the year 1990, government under its liberalization schemes issued licenses to certain private banks like Global Trust Bank, ICICI, HDFC and UTI.
This step provided a new life to dull banking sector under government control and gave a new dimension to Indian financial sector. It changed the relations in between banks and customers immediately and as soon the FDI limit in public and private sector banks increased to 20 and 74% respectively the entire banking scenario changed.
The Banking sector has come out of its old pattern and providing a far better service to customers by using advance banking technologies with use of modern techniques. Banks especially the private banks have set plans for adapting to more modern methods for providing better banking experience and more facilities.

The Success Story of Indian Market
India started to grow in consumer sector within the last couple of decade in the last century adapting to new business policies. In the process we achieved higher growth rate, better living standard, increased urbanization, Change in Foreign Direct Investment policies and a very high percentage of young population helped us achieved our target.
The retail market of India that stands at US$5 trillion at present is expected to touch US$7.5 trillion by the end of 2020 which will be a great achievement and probably the organized retail sector has played an important role in that within a period of last two decades. Further to this achievement story if believe the top consulting companies of the world India stands at 5th spot among the 30 fastest growing countries in the world at present and heading toward a growth at even faster rate.
There is a different school of thought that believes that our retail market has a fixed plan which has never changed and unlikely to change in the future also but only the format will change according to demand. They explain it in a simpler language giving an even simple example comparing the present retail module with our own old style when we used to have village markets with all commodities available at the same place. Now, the multiplexes have replaced our village markets but doing the same.
Let’s look at our success story
Our present marketing experts consider that beginning of the new era of organized sector began in 90s but the fact is it started well before 90s or you can take it right back to late 30swhen India saw the Public Distribution System started by British in Mumbai and it soon spread to rest of the country. By the time British left India the scheme had spread in almost 800 cities and towns of the country.
We can keep hand-loom development board (K.V.I.C.) in this category or maybe the army canteen, petrol and diesel retail chains, post offices etc were all parts of retail chains. But in private sector probably the shoes and clothes with brands like Bata and Raymond’s were the pioneers in the field. Finally the consumer market big boss the ‘Big Bazaar’ showed the way to others.
We have yet to do a lot in organized sector but the protest and under cutting by unorganized retail sector is a big hurdle for organized sector for the time being. However despite all the hurdles the retail sector in India is doing a good job and moving ahead at a rapid pace.
Growth Story of Indian Television Industry
Indian Television has come of age and left poles and antennas far behind, which were necessary for watching TV. The antennas on every roof have become story of the past which was a common scene until beginning of 21st century. Metros and bigger cities of India managed to get rid of antennas by the end of twentieth century but the rural and semi-rural area almost a decade more but now the Indian entertainment industry has entirely changed.
Indians viewers are now enjoying 24 hours of TV viewing through Internet or direct to home services provided by different players. It all started in early 90s with starting of satellite channels when economical policy reforms came into existence which pawed the way for different Indian and multinational channels including Star and MTV Network. Rupert Murdock owned Star Network introduced 5 channels that changed the entertainment world for Indians from DD with limited telecast and nothing much to show in entertainment section.
The Channel Story
The entry of first Indian channel Asia Television Network’ ZTV, initially with 2 hours telecast but it changed the life of Indian TV viewers and with its reach to more cities and towns it became first choice of Indian viewers. That was not the end of TV viewing but with entry of more multinational channels like CNN, Discovery, and National Geographical Channel made their presence felt. However, Star TV expended its services and increased number of channels in regional languages through cable TV.
By the beginning of 21st century more multinational channels like HBO, ESPN and History had already entered in Indian entertainment Industry and News viewing that was entirely different from DD News. The year 2003 brought a new experience in television sector with the entry of Nickelodeon, Cartoon channel Networks, Vh1 India, Disney and many more. The entry of DTH in the market slowly changed the experience of TV viewing in India. India has roughly 70-80 million DTH connections today which are expected to touch 90 million within next two years.
The Journey of Mobile Phone
Dr. Martin Cooper of Motorola called a person by his mobile for the first time in the year 1973 but Motorola sold its first handset almost 10 years later in 1983 as there was no mobile network until then. If we do not take make shift mobiles into account, the first regular commercial cellular service started in North America was the Advanced Mobile Phone System in 1983 later in other countries like Israel and Australia.
In India the mobile services started in 1995 but the handsets were too heavy and call rates too high almost beyond the reach of common people. Indian mobile network providing companies ready to welcome all and sundry were not the same until year 2001 when they used to charge a hefty sum for incoming and outgoing calls.
We had never imagined mobile phones will change the world of Indian consumers and gadgets like laptop and desktops will take a secondary role. Technique played a major role adding features and one of the most amazing of all features in a mobile phone ‘touch screen’ and improved camera changed the entire scenario.
Every mobile phone manufacturing company in the world worth its name is busy providing added features at competitive price. The Smartphone today with up to 41 megapixel camera, HD video recording are simply unbeatable which have left SLR cameras far behind in the race. India is doin the same using the most advanced technology with the help and in collobration of leading world manufacturers.
iPhone was introduced in India in 2007 but it did not come to expectation of Indian public. There is no denial in the fact that Blackberry made it possible making the ‘Office’ mobile in 2002 but now almost every phone provides this facility to its consumer. The low prices too have played their role increasing the number of users. Now a Smartphone with good features is available starting from less than $100 with all the features of high-end gadget. You can work from home or on the go the mobile phone has changed the way of work for new generation. India is one of the largest manufacturing hub of mobile phones today with hundreds of manufacturing units.

suni51 created new article Love, Infatuation and Arrogance.
Love yourself
I think loving yourself is a nice idea but once you exceed your limits then perhaps you are moving towards self infatuation or on the verge of being an arrogant. I feel being a self infatuated is reason to inspire which directly or indirectly possess with lots of foolish passions with factors which have no reasoning. And it is matter of consideration how bad it could be if it is combined with arrogance in that case one can only imagine his situation in the society.
I have always believed that we must learn to accept ourselves with all our good qualities and mistakes at the same time as there is nothing like perfection in human. We all know very well that it’s good to put our efforts for improvement which is necessary for our progress. But if we constantly insert our thoughts on others by telling them about our achievements or failures that will not help your cause but people will avoid your company.
However there is no doubt about the fact that an arrogance person is almost always a self infatuated person and as the things stand he refuse to accept others’ view points but what he feels or says is final. They find nothing to their satisfaction but fail to realize that the problem is lies in their own outlook and not with others. For them it makes no difference whether they register their concerns loudly or keeping them in their minds but the fact remains that they are not prepared to accept anything against their own thinking.
However, they forget a simple fact that their life is all about exploring into new things throughout the life and some of the thinking go out of context and may have no understanding with present situation. The world is changing at a rapid rate each day so it’s better to change with the changing world otherwise you will find yourselves out of the circulation.
If you love me- forgive to forget.
But that's not human nature, not in most cases and you should not read much between the lines. Everyone knows that to discover love one must forgive others’ faults because if you keep pointing a finger on others faults that will never make you comfortable. The best way to love others is to tolerate mistakes of your friends and loved ones.
Actually, we have two sets of specs for looking at things. We use different pairs for looking at others happiness or our own difficulties. But the result is always the same- we always see their joys and our own sorrows, nothing positive in our own account. If you look back and see that you were fighting for nothing and perhaps you could have avoided a serious argument reaching to a better result. The best way to solve a problem is to forgive and forget. But make sure to draw a line where you could snap the ties if you ever reached to that point.
Actually, most matters we keep discussing are not that serious but we make them complicated. We all know that a fool discloses his secrets at the first instance while making arguments but a clever guy keeps his secrets and remains quite. That perhaps helps him reach to more success in life. But most of us never try to understand this simple point. We are not the only ones who are facing all these problems and the matter does not end here but we try to take advantage of our problems by gaining the sympathy from others.
Our problem is that we never stop thinking about all our troubles which prevents us from coming out of negative feelings. Actually we should avoid talking about our problems with others and if must talk about them we should talk to persons willing to listen us. And the most important point is that we should never exaggerate them in order to gain their sympathy which makes problems look bigger.
Finally it is better to get out of it
What? Get out of it but why. There is this simple reason- If one feels they are losing interest in their partner it's better to buy them a parting gift There is a simple reason behind my philosophy as I keep hearing people talking about losing interest in their love life.
They no longer want to see each other although there is nothing wrong. Neither of them has done any wrong that will bring bad taste in the relationship but the only reason to be exact, they are not made for each other.
No, I never said any of them asked me for a solution but if they do, my suggestion will be to get separated. If there is no reason to stay with each other it is good reason in itself to not to stay with each other. Don't you think it's better to be honest with yourself?
Why do you want to stay in a relation if your heart and mind are not in the relationship, there is no use wasting your time or your partner's for that matter.
I suggest the simple rule. Maybe it will heart for a while, but if you don't love them, leave them, on your way. If it's over, it's over, you will be thankful in the end you took a decision at the right time, you can’t help it but go find someone else. Move before it turns sour, bad and hurtful.
I don’t want to push my views on you but that’s what I would have thought and moved in that direction as there is no fun pulling on with a relation that has already gone sore beyond repair and now you and your partner are doing nothing but living on.
Conclusion
Now what I am going to say will sound confusing to you but the fact is some men do not do all this to all the women. Already confused, but then not all the women want all the men doing all this to all the women. And why do you expect males to do these things for you, are you not a strong independent person? I’m aware things are not equal in some cases but equality starts with equal treatment and respect.
But is that really living on or would you call it pulling on? It’s better to get out of it. Absence of once loved ones certainly takes the best out of you where love is the subject but can you really help it?

MG Singh created new article Hinduism at the Crossroads after Four Thousand Years.
Hinduism along with the Hebrew religion is the oldest among religions in the world. There is also no doubt that the reach of Hinduism was much greater than any religion at that time( 4000-5000BC) including Judaism. Islam and Christianity have come much later nearly 2500 years after Hindu practices had dominated the world. A look at the map of the globe at a period about 4000 BC( the age of the Mahabharata) will show that Hinduism had spread right into Arabia, Central Asia, and the Far East. In other words, it was a global religion.
The Hindus do point this out with some pride and many Hindu seers and saints pint to this fact, but a major point is overlooked. This will become obvious as one reads the article further. The fact is that the Hindu religion which had global reach began to shrink and shrank so fat that now all that remains of Hindu thought in the far-flung regions of Asia Minor, Central Asia, and the Far East are relics of some old temples and artifacts.
A case study of Afghanistan is important. This nation is now the hotbed of Islamic insurgency. But just about 2000 years back Afghanistan was a Hindu nation. Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan as per legend was created by the son of the god Ram. But today there is no Hindu temple or place of worship there and professing to be a Hindu is almost like signing your death warrant. This is not all "Kandahar" the most important bastion of the Taliban finds mention in the Mahabharata as " Ghandhar". I have been to this city and can say with authority that not a single Hindu lives there now. What a change! An area that had pristine Hinduism as a pillar has no trace of Hinduism. It was overtaken by Islam and now Ghazni and Ghori are the ones glorified.
I wonder if people and readers are aware that until the 15th century Iran was known as Paras. Or Persia. There the dominant religion was Zoarastirism, which is nothing but the old animistic Hinduism. Now it is a Muslim nation.
Its just not Islam but in the far east Hinduism has been bested by Buddhism. Cambodia is an example. At one time it was the bastion of Hinduism and Deb Burman, the Hindu King at that time constructed the most beautiful largest temple complex in the world at Angkorwat. A visit will show that now in Cambodia and Angkowat, there are hardly any Hindus. Where have they gone? Something similar happened in the island of Bali and Indonesia. Here the exit of the Hindu religion is very recent. Just 90 years back Bali was 90% Hindu, now it is down to 40%. Indonesia which was Hindu and Ram-Leela is still played there is 98% Muslim. No sword was used to convert the people to Islam and the fact is that Sufi saints from Islam spread the religion and Hinduism could not counter Sufism.
History books tell us that even Genghis Khan followed an ancient animistic Hinduism. He was NOT a Muslim. But soon Hinduism lost its foothold in Central Asia, which was part of the empire of emperor Kanishka. There is plenty of evidence available about the rule of Kanishka. He was a great king, but little was he to realize that a few hundred years down the line Hinduism would simply vanish in the region. Hindus may well reflect why all this happened. Why did Hinduism evaporate? There are many reasons but that I shall discuss in another article.
The Indian sub-continent was the bastion of Hinduism. After a brief stint Buddhism under Ashoka vanished and Brahminism or Hinduism came back. But there were unceasing campaigns by fanatic Muslim warriors who perfected the art of war and even in the great sub-continent, almost 30% converted to Islam. It will be wrong to say that all conversions were by the sword as the vast majority simply embraced Islam which offered refuge from Caste and untouchability. An example is Bengal, where the rigidity of caste led to almost 60% Bengalis converting to Islam. This was due to the Sufi saints who spread Islam. There was no forced conversion.
There was forced conversion like in the Valley of Kashmir and rule of Tipu Sultan, but one can say that perhaps just about 5% converted by the sword.
What could be the reason that the Hindus which once dominated the world are now confined to only a truncated part of the Indian peninsula' Here also vast areas of the North East are not Hindu. In addition India is home to the second largest Muslim population in the world. All of them are Hindu converts. A deeper look will show that though Hindus religion is very old, it failed to foster an identity. I asked 10 Indians as to who they were. All replied I am a Rajasthani, Tamil India, Punjabi etc. Not one replied "I am a Hindu". In contrast ask any Muslim or Christian he or she will say I am a Muslim or Christian. This is a fundamental difference. The difference is that there are 56 Islamic nations and nearly 87 Christian nations while there is only one Hindu nation. What fall for a religion that ruled the world is truncated to only one country. That is nothing to be proud of.
Hindus must retrospect and there is a need for Hindu belief to be strengthened. There is something wrong somewhere, otherwise, why would Hindu girls marry Muslim boys. No Muslim girls are marrying Hindus. Nothing is wrong with this but I will say is the moral fiber of Hinduism is weak. Maybe there are too many ills also. What can one say what will happen 500 years down the line? Hinduism in a minority? As we say anything can happen.

suni51 created new article Happy Valentine’s Day - Are you sure it’s the Love Day? .
Valentine’s Day – The Love Day
So we are ready to celebrate Valentine's Day on February 14th this year as usual. You know guys in India the Valentine’s Day is not a public holiday (I am not sure if it is anywhere else too) but for most of us it is certainly a private holiday. Almost all our offices, colleges even the schools and all institutes in government and private and private sector shut their gates and everyone go out enjoy themselves with their valentine.
Gift shops and florists offer special rates well in advance (I guess they add 30-60% extra in their normal rates). Last year I heard that a bunch of rose was selling at close to Rs.400 ($6) against its normal price of Rs 100 and a normal rose bud at Rs50-80 ($1-1.2) against Rs.10 in normal time. Happy Valentine’s Day dear shoppers or should I say shopkeepers instead!
There is no doubt whatsoever that Valentine’s Day is a popular love day the world over and we Indians being citizens of this world have every right to celebrate the occasion like our global counterparts. But let me remind you that we Indians have another love day which has been celebrated for centuries in our country but the younger generation is not aware about that.
Yes, Basant Panchami is celebrated on the fifth day of the month of Magh according to Indian calendar that was a week or so before but no one is talking about Basant Panchami. Actually Basant Panchami is not only a love day but a day which is dedicated to goddess Saraswati (the Goddess of Education or knowledge of all streams) but our younger generation is not aware about its importance any more.
Actually, our love day has not been added in the list of multinationals like Archie’s in their list yet but we are waiting for the day when Basant Panchami will be celebrated all over the world once it is included in the list of shopping sites. I am hopeful that day will come soon as our shopkeepers leave no opportunity for earning money.
Do we really know the difference in between love and infatuation?
Sometimes I feel most people do not know the difference in between sex and love but for them lust and infatuation is what they feel is all about love (Again, there are some exceptions). I have never been a Facebook addicted person but lately been spending some time on FB for professional reasons and getting opportunities to read beautiful wall posts coming from my lovely ladies friends (Not all are so generous thou).
Expertise on Love – But communication is the key
I am not an expert on love or Valentine’s Day but what I know for sure is that one is never sure in a relationship. Some people mostly the men don’t find themselves in a comfortable position and if a person is not sure about his relationship that is for a simple reason, they have not talked with their partners. So what they should do, and for most it is not as simple as it sounds.
In most cases one finds him in a situation where his head tells him she is not as invested in him as he is himself and that’s what makes his position even more awkward. That person is never sure whether he should follow his heart or listen to his head. I say talk to her perhaps she has a better suggestion for you than you can come up with for yourself.
Now that your heart got into this so don’t let your head drag you out. By the way have you ever heard that communication is the key and it works both ways? I don’t suggest you to let uncertainty down you but simply go and ask her your questions bothering you for ages. Do you know you feel like that for a particular reason, maybe she doesn't realize your problem. So once again the best way to get out of this uncertain situation is to talk to her.
Every day is a Love Day
Having written about Valentine’s Day and Basant Panchami the days fixed for celebration of love openly (I will not call it PDA, the public display of affection though) But I am unable to understand what purpose does expression of a personal feelings serve in public on a particular day of a year. Why should we fix one day every year and why not all the 365 days for the sake of love that is not a difficult job if you’re in real love?
If you ask me I will say love is not all about having someone in particular but it is a mental state which motivates us to connect with others. For me every day is a love day I love to live with others giving them what best I can and expecting the same in return. Why should I reserve my full quota of love for someone special to show my love on a particular day that I can share with them on each and every day?
I will go a step further and will treat all persons in my life with same amount of affection as I treat that I consider most important. I suggest if you look at people in your circle with a different angle and focus your attention at them with an affectionate point of view that will change your own way of thinking about them and bring them closer to you.
Conclusion
I understand the human physiology which says that at times all persons in our close contact look almost same to us or we tend to have good feeling for all of our friends, close coworkers and relatives. I try to understand as much as possible about all people in my close contact, of course within the limit of privacy in my mind and find myself more attached with them.
Don’t you think we tend to neglect our important relations but we should never do so but spend more time with them instead? I have my own trust that there is no particular day for love but every day is a love day. Happy Valentine's Day!

suni51 created new article Love is a complicated topic.
Are you in love- Really?
People feel confused when they find their partners no more interested despite having had physical relations with each other. I am sure you understand my point and what I mean but the situation becomes worse when any of the partners feels that they were being 'used'. For sure, it wasn't a true love but just a relation that ended as long the physical attraction lasted.
Fine, but did you care to think beyond love part of such an affair? Did you go by your instincts, if not - go by them because your instincts tell you the best about your partner and their attitude. You should ask yourself whether you find emotionally involved with your partner or you're just sleeping with them and the relation will end when you wake up.
I guess it's really simple to find out if you two love each other true and real. It’s easy to know if you ask yourself a simple question - do you do anything together, I mean outside of your bedroom. Do you spare time going out for a movie, dine out, go for boating, dinners with common friends or whatever is seen as a date, no matter you are married?
And, finally ask yourself whether you are emotionally involved with this person for such a long time. You should get your answer immediately. Ask yourself a simple question, do you still love them. No, you should not hurry the things but take your time. Do you still feel the same the way you felt in the beginning or you still feel excited the way you felt during your first date?
You will have to be honest while answering these questions because it could be you did not do the right things necessary to keep a relation going. You will have to ask yourself whether you’re still interested or going through the motions, physically and mentally.
"I love you"- It’s easy for a woman
I have been reading it for a long time that compared to women saying ‘I love you’ is really too hard for a man. I can see women can express their feelings so easily by saying, showing and discussing with friends about their love affair, partnership even while in initial stage of their affairs but men are not so sure. It means- most men do not know what love is all about (There are some exceptions though). Are you one of them?
I envy those beautiful young women having such a wonderful talent for expressing their feelings so passionately. A woman is really so blessed showing and expressing her emotions so strongly. They make me feel that most men do not know what love is all about but what they know is they cannot keep their hands off them.
I feel men has lot to learn about love from women as women always use their brain right from the beginning. As a man I can say a man comes to that stage of maturity much later but in the beginning he feels the love and sex is same. Sorry ladies, if I hurt some of you if I revealed the truth the way most men feel in this matter. I doubt if anyone will read it though- and if you do please read this too -
Love is purest form of Expression
I have a strong belief that a couple whether in a committed relationship or married should never compromise with their priorities. I am not suggesting you to not to make adjustments but not at the cost of your own career, in fact both the partners should have enough space to adjust their partner’s dreams.
I have no doubt you all will agree with me that love is the most important, delicate and beautiful feeling we can imagine about. There is another fact about love, we have change according to time and our lives have become too fast or you can say we have gone into a faster mode running too fast trying to achieve our goals but when think about love our feelings never change. For me love is the purest feeling God has provided to us all. Love is unmatched and in my humble views the love is purest form of expression.
I have heard people saying the love too has become kind of ‘time being’ but I do not agree with them. The fact remains when a person falls in love he forgets all his other business but he gives his priority to love, only love nothing else provided his love is true and not physical. Don't you feel the world would have no meaning if there was no feeling of love in human?
And while at the subject of real love here I have no place for the people who try to come into our lives for the sole purpose of flirting with us, play with our sentiments and forget the whole incident next day. No, that is not the love I am talking about. Love is the purest form of feeling the Nature has in store for us. My question is- can you imagine love in any other form?
Have you ever thought why people fall in love and get married if the marriages fail so often? If you give it a serious thought you will reach to some simple conclusions. There is so much to so why People decide to marry but most married people living a successful life find their lives stress free and having someone to share their problems with.
Love and your dreams
I have always felt that if a person is not happy with his circumstances it reflects on his face. If a person is not happy with his family life it makes him even more tensed therefore the first and foremost condition to stay happy is to live happily with your partner but everything else comes next.
There is no expiry date printed on your dreams but you can see them as long as you want (I have an idea that no dream lasts for more than 2-3 seconds though) but I am talking about special dreams related to your ambitions, your love life and your partners that you see often sometimes even with your open eyes.
I have a simple question from you all, have you ever thought you had to sacrifice for the sake of your partner? If your answer is yes then you are not the first one but it is a common feeling at least in our country especially with women who always consider it their duty to look after the household or find themselves in the role of caregiver.
Let me say it works in the beginning but at a later stage as the time passes by they feel hurt or cheated. I have always believed that relationship or marriage opens a new avenue for a person for living their life in their own style. In case either of the partners feels tied down in the relationship that is simply not love but kind of compulsion and no such relationship is likely to last for a long time.
Note- Please don’t blame me in case you feel your views are different on love or have read similar ideas before!

suni51 created new article Ability, Quality and Work Culture.
A common factor about successful people
All successful people I know for long time have something in common. I know with my personal experience as I have worked with four employers so far in my long corporate career and found one thing was common in all successful people. All the achievers in all the companies have a common factor and although that was a simple thing but none of them was a gossiper. They never wasted a moment doing anything unproductive.
Successful people always work with total transparency completing the job and practically showing it to their team members. They know the value of time and they know time in fact is money itself. And yes they all have something common in them that they worked for education to improve the life of poor and deserving.
Most of those successful people never wasted their time waiting for their lunch in crowded restaurants during working hours or talking with dealers discussing movies instead of making business deals. All successful people know the value of every moment of their and try taking spot decision.
There was another common factor in all those great people they understand the value of humbleness and behavior showing high moral standards all the time without losing their cool even in odd situations. Humbleness has different meaning for different people but the common factors always remain the same.
You can contradict my point by saying that humbleness is no more a virtue in this age of the technique of gaining an advantage or feeling of superiority over other persons in your competition, (or even not in your competition).
Some people have started believing that humbleness is sign of cowardice but at the same time some others do not think in these terms exactly but they believe that humbleness is sign of peace and satisfaction that provides a person with extra energy for tackling things more tactfully.
There is another plus point for humble people and that is more important as no humble people is ever over ambitious but he learns to live with satisfaction since he is not afraid of losing anything.
Common Qualities of Rich and Successful Persons
I am fond of reading about successful people that motivate me as I believe life is like a nonstop lesson that teaches you something every moment. I have read hundreds of biographies of rich and famous persons and what I found in all successful people that they all had certain qualities in common.
1- They all were fond of walking in the morning
2- They never hesitated learning anything new from whatever source it came from
3- No one of them was a foodie or spent too much time about talking about food
4- Almost all of them were family persons and loved spending quality time with their family
5- They all spent their leisurely time at natural beauty spots with friends and family and enjoyed their trips or even shared their memories with their friends and family.
6- They all were social and trusted in making good friends with likeminded and hard working people.
7- It is not applicable on all but most of them spent very limited time watching television or playing online games. But they spent their time playing outdoor games for physical fitness purpose.
8- While I say this I would certainly mention a point about all successful people that they are all kind and understanding with a helpful nature. They understood human nature and good at understanding the problem.
9- Most successful people do not waste their time doing unproductive work but they find out something worthwhile even from something that most others will consider waste of time.
10- There is one important fact about all successful people that if they do not want to do something you cannot force them to do that and the best part is that you would not feel bad because their way of refusal is so convincing.
11- There is a very interesting fact about all successful people that they never talk too much showing their authority but listen carefully before speaking. They speak to the point and every word they speak makes sense.
The difference is not much though
There is only a small difference in between the two sets of people the ones who get motivation from their failures and the one who feel disappointed and lose all their zeal to work further on that particular project. You may again find it a bit out of the contest but the fact the people that love themselves face such setbacks comparatively easily and come back to terms without much problem.
The people who love themselves find a great energy or enthusiasm in pursuit of an objective. The fact that most professional know where the lag behind but they don’t want to accept them as that may directly or indirectly hamper their chances of growth but that is not the right way. To achieve success, one will have to learn to accept his weaknesses and work on them, there is no other way.
We shall have to accept the fact that no one is superman or superwoman and we all know everything about our weaknesses which you can hide from others for a while but not from your own self so why hide them, work on them and get rid of them. There is no better way of reaching to your goals but to accept your weakness and remove them.
Ability to adjust with everyone with no questions asked
I am not ashamed to accept that I feel envious to the people who are popular among their friends, relatives and people in their social circle. No one says no for an answer if they ask to do anything for them but feel obliged rather. I often look at myself and wish I knew what would be the basic qualities that I should add to my own qualification to match with their skills.
I think all such persons have a one basic quality that stands the apart from rest of us is there quality to adjust each and everyone even if they have very few things in common. They never ask any question neither they refuse anyone when it comes to helping others and that’s what they get in return as well. It’s probably their ability to adjust with everyone without any questions asked.
“The fact that your most happy moments are the ones that you share with others and your most painful moments are the ones that you faced being alone”, no one but I said this. (I hope it will be quoted when I will be no more in this world).
Quality and Ability
“The quality of ability to adjust with everyone with no questions asked”. There is no doubt about the fact that almost all the problems could be solved with our social activities. If a person knows how to be friendly with good social relation there is nothing that will stop him reaching to the top of his career. On the contrary people with strained relations, not willing to mix up and behaving too proudly face failure, depression and discomfort in most case.
I am a corporate worker with background in marketing and human resources to some level so I know the fact that a large number of employees that lost their jobs in the industry for this particular reason because they were unable to cope with the social environment of the industry and not because they did not know their job or had no proper qualification.

suni51 created new article Battle conflicts and human nature.
So What Should We Do?
Conflicts in between human nature and changes are a permanent feature and it’s never easy to decide how many changes should we accept and how many are forced on us. But we all feel in terms as if whatever is going on in our lives is not as per our choice. Here lies the basic problem as we wish to change but how much, is there a limit for a change or is there really a need of a change?
If you believe Dr. David DiSalvo, the famous writer and educationalist he feels living your life according to your choice you will have to change your nature. If you read his book “What Makes Your Brain Happy and Why You Should Do the Opposite”. I am quoting him-
“Since our brains are adept at finding and drawing conclusions from patterns, it's not surprising that coincidences captivate our attention.” ― David DiSalvo,
Battle between your ideas and nature
If you think minutely you will feel that there goes a constant battle in between your ideas and nature and the need of change is never ever reached successfully. Then what is the right solution for such a case and that shakes our self-confidence. Actually when there is no perfect combination in between our nature and thoughts that prompt us for improvement we feel disappointed.
Let’s look at the problem from this angle. If we keep on changing ourselves at the slightest of suggestions coming from within us then it will be difficult to adjust with society and if we do not change our “self” will not let us live normally. It’s like walking on a double edged sword which is not an easy proposition.
So what should we do? The answer is, stay somewhere within your own normal and natural limit but without being too adamant. If you can bring positive changes without refusing to be persuaded or having to change your mind then there is no harm doing that if it can bring peace of mind for you. But it’s entirely your choice how much change you can accept easily.
So what should I do?
Have you ever gone through the situation when you gave your best for completing all necessities and doing everything required to finish your project but when the time came to submit your work you were informed that the requirements have been changed and you have to work again from the beginning on that particular project! Isn’t it a tough proposition?
Now look at another possibility of a failed project the person you were depending on for completion of a particular project but he withdrew his support at the very moment when you were expecting it least and you had no option but to give up your dream project.
My question at this point is how do you react in any of the situations mentioned above? There is a short statement expressing a general truth the person that knows to smile instead of feeling dejected or getting angry has better chances of coming out of his problems from such a situation. The people who know how to face the complicated moments can always handle the situation in far better way.
Life is not bed of roses
We all know the fact that life is not bed of roses but we have to face problems at every point whether at work or home. There is always a chance that we shall have to be prepared to cross a hurdle to reach to our desired destination changing according to circumstances.
And when I say about changes I don’t mean to change our ideology but it’s all about our strategies. I agree we cannot change our circumstances immediately at the onset of any problem but we can certainly change our focus which provides us with new possibilities.
Actually it all depends upon your mental and physical status and the fact that one does not learn to face problems overnight. Once you learn how to face the problems and the art of fighting with obstacles how not to lose your balance you will find yourself better prepared reaching to target even more easily.
Aim of Your Life
There is a very simple formula for living a happy life- ‘do not expect much from the life’. But it’s easier said than practiced in real life. There will be no life without expectations. Nobody would want to work if it suits his life style. But is it really necessary to live a life full of expectations which you’re unable to achieve?
If you feel living a stress free life is your first choice then it’s better to reduce your expectations but it certainly does not mean you live an aimless life but expect as much as you’re capable of. If you look at the successful people you will notice a common factor in all of them, they never overburdened themselves with unachievable targets or dreamed that was out of this world.
How to live happily?
The general rule of living a happy life is if you live with low expectations in your life you will end up cheerfully. All famous physiologists have a common opinion that our ambitions for a grand life never let us allow a peaceful sleep. We carry an extra load on our shoulders too far beyond our capacity, the unwanted thoughts of lose and gains never let us pass a day with peace of mind. The moment we realize this fact of satisfaction we reach to “Moksha” the state of perfection at that very moment.
Actually most of those people who are not happy with their life have not realized value of their own potential. They simply fail to understand the nature of their work, surroundings and system they live in but either aim too high or do not realize their own abilities therefore carry extra load on their shoulders until they finally understand their own worth. And the ones who fail to do so live an unsatisfied life forever.
Conclusion
The famous daytime talk-show hostess Oprah Winfrey learned this truth and started her show ‘Live your best life’. She not only motivated people to live a better life but taught them how to live a better life with providing them proper guidance for the same. She said the meaning of living a happy life is hidden behind a single truth, finding the aim of your life and thus living your life peacefully.

Arti created new article Why social life is important for students?.
As humans, we find it difficult to survive in solitude, and our ability to maintain our social lives is what keeps us going. To have a healthy social life is the right of every child. A student’s mental well-being, self-esteem, self-confidence, and abilities to perform in school, depends upon how he or she is treated by the people around. These are the most important factors why social life is important for students;
For Better School Performance: Student is expected to maintain good study habits and follow a daily routine so that they perform well during examinations. However, certain disturbances like; bullying and teasing, jealousies, breakups and other depressing experiences can affect them mentally, and interfere with their routine. Parents and teachers are expected to teach the students to maintain a healthy relationship with their classmates and school teachers. This helps them to recover from stress and anxiety, leading to concentration towards school performance.
For Developing Connections and Skills: Every student aims for a bright future. Student develops physical, mental and social skills from their educational institutions. Later when they grow up to be adults, they would be expected to have these basic social skills;
Teamwork
Respect
Integrity
Leadership and
Independence
A healthy social life depends upon these skills. It is also very important for students to be able to share common interests with people they come across and build lifelong connections that unexpectedly pays off later.
To Be A Better Example: There are certain rewards, such as a character certificate or an A+ for good behavior that is rewarded to students. These small achievements actually play a big role in building a student’s self-esteem and self-confidence. A well-behaved student is always eligible to be elected captain of the class or a team in sports. This builds leadership skills and enhances the ability to give social advice to others, later in life.

Siddhant created new article Benefits of Ashwagandha.
What is Ashwagandha?
Ashwagandha (Withania Somnifera) also commonly known as Indian Ginseng is a perennial shrub with bright orange fruits when ripe. It has been used by Ayurveda for more than 3000 years as an adaptogen to relieve physical and mental stress. But that is just the tip of the iceberg. There are other numerous benefits of Ashwagandha, some backed by science, others not so much. Below are some of the benefits of Ashwagandha that have been explained by science.
Benefits:
Lower Blood Suger Levels (BSL): In a PubMed study it was discovered that Withaferin A, a withanolide found in the leaf extract of Ashwagandha is partially responsible for the anti-diabetic activities. Subjects were found to have higher insulin secretion and an improvement in insulin sensitivity. In other similar studies Ashwagandha has been reported to reduce BSL in schizophrenic and Diabetic patients faster than the commonly used oral medications or placebo.
Reduce Stress and Anxiety Levels: In a study lasting 60 days, 64 subjects with a history of chronic stress were randomly placed in the Placebo group or the Drug study group and were medicated accordingly twice a day for a duration of 60 days. The Drug study group was medicated with tablets containing high concentration full spectrum extract of the Ashwagandha root. The study reached the conclusion that Ashwagandha root extract help improve the individual's resistance towards stress safely and efficiently. Similar results were observed when tested with subjects suffering from anxiety.
Increase Testosterone Levels in Men: The root extract of Ashwagandha has been used for ages to treat male infertility. In a recent study, 46 male patients with oligospermia (sperm count < 20 million/mL semen) were divided randomly to be treated by placebo or Ashwagandha root extract for a duration of 90 days. At the end of the test period, it was observed that there was a 167% increase in sperm count, 53% increase in semen volume and 57% increase in sperm motility for the subjects treated with Ashwagandha root extract which was significantly more than placebo subjects. Ashwagandha basically reduces the cortisol (stress hormone) levels which in turn is a major factor for testosterone levels in men.
Anti-Cancer Properties: The root and leaf extracts of Ashwagandha are found to have steroidal lactones commonly referred to as Withanolides. One such withanolide, Withferin A (WA) has been found to protect experimental rodents against chemically induced cancer. This anti cancer property of WA is being studied by scientists and oncologists worldwide for application purposes. Animal studies have shown Ashwagandha effective on a range of cancers and for reduction of tumor growth in rodents.
Conclusion:
Ashwagandha is probably one of most trusted natural medicine out there as it is promoted by doctors today and centuries before alike. There are many other claimed benefits of Ashwagandha which are not backed by science. One of them is that Ashwagandha can increase the height of a person with regular intake. While Ashwagandha has been found to improve bone health and bone density, it has not been scientifically verified to actually stimulate the pituitary glands to secrete HGH. It also has some mild side effects that may vary from person to person. Having said that, Ashwagandha is one of the safest and most effective medicinal herbs that actually show results. Take one spoonful of Ashwagandha powder every night with a glass of milk and jaggery and you will be golden!
Stay healthy and have a nice day!

My brother called me The Queen's maid and this angered me a lot, but I also decided that if at all I went, I would go there as an assistant to Mahesh anna and not as The Queen's maid..

suni51 created new article Indian Business- Success stories Part 4.
The online Indian jewelry business share at present worth $200 million is expected to grow at the rate of 50 to 60% per year.

suni51 created new article Indian Business Success Stories - Part 3.
The Indian markets and manufacturers of electrical equipment along with consumers are expecting a lot in coming years.

suni51 created new article The Indian Business Stories- Part 2.
Banks especially the private banks have set plans for adapting to more modern methods for providing better banking experience and more facilities.

suni51 created new article Indian business on the rise- Success stories part 1.

As humans, we find it difficult to survive in solitude, and our ability to maintain our social lives is what keeps us going. To have a healthy social life is the right of every child. A student’s mental well-being, self-esteem, self-confidence, and abilities to perform in school, depends upon how he or she is treated by the people around. These are the most important factors why social life is important for students;
For Developing Connections and Skills: Every student aims for a bright future. Student develops physical, mental and social skills from their educational institutions. Later when they grow up to be adults, they would be expected to have these basic social skills;
Teamwork
Respect
