Very good article ...I agree that too much praise never helps ! Children tend to become overconfident and become lax ! It is always better to be encouraging even when they don't fare well rather than come down heavily on them and not overdo the praise bit ! In my own school one of the boys who stood second in the SSLC exams two years back was made much of with the parents inviting the staff and his entire class for lunch.But the girl who stood first was so very humble , the same with the parents .Now she has scored excellent grades in PUC and has got a free seat for medicine in one of the best colleges here , whereas he managed to get average marks and the parents got a donation seat in one of the many Engineering colleges ..I feel the parents are to blame for his own under performance because he was an intelligent and smart boy !

I think all type of reservation should be abolished in India. Education should be provided on equal basis to all Indian citizens, and shops of education (private institutes) should be controlled so that poor can also get proper education from there. The standard of all the government institutes be maintained so that everyone will be benefited from that. I think doing all this India will become more powerful country.

Merit should be recognized in a befitting manner without grouping and linking with the word RESERVATIONS. This is the only panacea for this country which was broken in to shreds by the erstwhile governments on the Name of Reservations.

Zindabad zindabad is actually sung by the actor who played the role of the sculptor, he sings the song in the film.. although they do show Dilip Kumar and Prithviraj Kapoor in the song sequence

One can clearly see that it is politically motivated or else how can a youngster who one can see is quite lost at times lead an agitation ? Personally I am against any kind of reservations which has been the undoing in our country. The only reservation if at all should be merit cum means to help out poor students who are good at studies...This kind of arm twisting should never be allowed !

I agree that it was one of the best ever films made in the history of Hindi Cinema and is incomparable .. Since it is a period film even the worst critics cannot point fingers at any of the aspects. One of the best scenes in the films is the picturisation of the song Pyar kiya to darna kya...Madhubalas beauty, expressions and her whole presence made it very special..

The reservation is nothing but tool of creating vote bank. The government should scrap all reservations immidiately. We are suffering badly for the mistake done (that should have stayed for 5 years) by our law makers and spreading like wild fire. Now any one can blackmail goverments in mobocracy.

Garlic has always been to as a health food and in our community it is given in different forms to mothers with new born babies so that it helps in purifying and produce more milk for the baby.And of course by now everyone knows that it is good for both heart and Diabetes..

There used to be a merit com means scholarship that used to help those students who were poor but hard working and did well in their studies.If not misused I feel that government should have something like that rather than give out reservations based on caste or creed ..What the young fellow is doing is help the political party that is instigating him so that they get mileage out of it and later leave him high and dry ..

As long as ever increasing reservation mania is not stopped, there is no end for demands from various sections of society. Instead of making any progress, govt. will be busy with settling such demands only. In fact, there needs be no reservation in jobs. Education should be free and uniform for all and so no reservation.
