Shampa Sadhya wrote: Nowadays, students regularly get project work on various topics in different subjects which is not rote learning. Secondly, in Mathematics and Science subjects students are asked questions based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) which again cannot be answered through mugging up. Our younger generation is definitely succeeding internationally so is it appropriate to say that our present generation is not learning properly. We need to change a few things here and there and Indian education system will be absolutely fine. I would suggest that CBSE must make secondary examination compulsory because it helps the students to prepare for the future in a much better way. As well as in the final examinations of every class the syllabus should not be only of the second term but must include chapters from the previous term too. Revision helps the students to strengthen the knowledge or else they forget everything they learnt during the first term. Presently, schools stress on group projects too which makes the students work as a team which is quite helpful. So, in one go we should not demean the present system and the institutions as well as underestimate the present generation. What you write here about projects and CBSE, these are only for urban area, large number of India's population living in rural area, All thing is all most impossible there. If we want to improve education that we must be focus on education in rural area.

Here we have temperature of night in December and January below 3 degree but for last two years temperature is above 5 degree, we also have not rain in this period. Rise in temperature is due to EL Nino effect. Owing to this, rain fall too will be affected,

Vivekananda was  responsible for spreading Hinduism even in Western Countries. His speech in the World congress of religions held in Chicago in 1893 made westerners look towards Bharat. His teachings are valid for all times as a source of inspiration All thing you are saying is right, but in his letter he condemned Indians for backwardness.

The people who killed an innocent person in Dadri should be equally punished as those who spread communal riots in West Bengal and put fire in a police station and looted shopes and houses of other community. It the murder in Dadri was pre planned then the riots in West Bengal and Bihar were also preplanned, both should treated equally and both are anti National acts. Riots are riots whether these are communal or political. In all riots common person are hurted, I never listen that any VIP hurted in these riots.

Today is Vivekananda Jayanti and I came across a saying by Swami Vivekananda, "In a day when you do not come across any problems, you can be sure that you are in a wrong way...". Do you agree with it in regard to your life's experiences?

That's a wrong notion yo have. Besides you Kalyani too clarified his doubt. The member neither questioned nor contested very clearly and vividly. Rather he was all praise for Swami Vivekananda as a man of wisdom.

Earlier daughters were not consulted about their marriage and in many families even sons were not consulted but now the whole concept of marriage has changed. It will change further with the spread of education that which enhances more and more awareness. One factor regarding marriage has to be respected and that is the decision of the person, daughter and son, who is to get married must be given all the importance. If it is denied then marriages will not remain a very happy event anymore.

I know he wanted to be enlightened but after raising the point quite doubtfully so I think I have answered in the best possible way. One can be unaware about any subject and that is absolutely fine but when unawareness gets attached with a doubt then it becomes a criticism.

But the member requested the members to enlighten him. There is nothing wrong with it. Moreover I clarified the member that Swamiji was never a Casteist, He also clarified in no uncertain words what he meant about caste system. You can have a look.

I really got appalled after knowing that someone can raise such a question related to Swamiji's opinion regarding caste. Actually, we always try to speak something negative about the Greats. Do we want a monk who died at 39 years had addressed each and every flaw of the society? I cannot even answer this point with clarity because I have not read about his teachings very deeply but his each and every saying touches my heart. I respect him unconditionally and always wish to follow his point of view. Posting a link: http://www.swamivivekanandaquotes.org/2013/12/swami-vivekananda-quotes-on-caste-and.html
