Its a shame that even after 68 years of departure of the English, farmers in India commit suicide. What use is missions to mars etc , when we can't look after the majority of Indians who are farmers. I unerstand that in maharashtra alone nearly 3000 farmers have committed suicie.

Thanks for the details and it reflects how much aware we are about our national heroes and still we start a crusade against everything that's non-Indian or rather I must put it this way that is non-Hindu.

Suicide by farmers is a very sad state of affairs. The govt. need to see that such conditions are created that farmers are not subjected to such circumstances where they are forced to commit suicide.
But the BJP leaders think otherwise. For them this is a fashion.

Most of the people of our country are farmers and they depend upon agriculture for their livelihood. But the income that they get from agriculture is not sufficient for their daily needs. So they borrow money from others sometimes with high interest rate. When they fail to give back the borrowed money, suicide is the only solution for their problem. Therefore, government must take some steps to improve the conditions of the poor farmers. Otherwise the suicide rate of farmers will increase in our country.

Reservation is a tool to help the socially disadvantaged to obtain their rights to jobs and economic security which otherwise would be very difficult for them to get in a caste conscious country like ours. If implementation is flawed then it should be corrected. Repeat benefits should be denied. Our society is still not a just society so the weak need protection. Do not be so critical of social justice measures.

When Indira imposed emergency in 1975 why did the BJP oppose it. She also said that it was done for the sake of meeting threat to nation. BJP opposed it vigorously but no sedition charges were leveled against any opposing leader. It was their right to protest and they did it. Similarly today those who are not in agreement with government policies will oppose it. They have a right to do so. Why put sedition charges against them. It is this that is uniting opinion across the country against the government. In Gujarat they have slapped sedition charges against Hardik Patel for demanding reservation for Patels. It is not fair. At this rate there will be no opposition left to function in the country.

I think we are digressing from the topic, which is reservation. There is no doubt that as there are less jobs going around, the need for reservation is more. It is like getting economic security. India is the ONLY country in world to have reservations based on caste. This bugbear will never go away, come what may. So I guess people have to live with it.

What has earthquakes got to do with Malthusian theory which has been proven wrong by increase in world population many times over in spite of natural calamities,since he predicted it in late 18th century. Please be flexible and revise your opinion when facts are presented.

It is time to change BJP governments in states where they are in power since 10 years or more. Power goes to the head of these politicians and they become indifferent and insensitive.

It looks simply crazy. Even the protective covers cost more. Economically it is not possible to produce a smartphone at such price. Why government has to back such projects is not clear.

It's a government backed project that was getting 6 lacs hits per minute. The site is down now but will come back tomorrow. The phone will be delivered in June.
