rambabu replied to the topic Is the Gujarat Model, the best model of economic development.
special facet of the development of Gujarat is that it is not centered around any one sector. All the three sectors namely agriculture, industries and services made and equal and active contribution towards the growth of Gujarat.
And they vary from state to state.

vijay replied to the topic why PHD qualified apply for peon job?.
These Ph D's must be sham PhD's. In a country where fake degrees are available doctorate degrees also can be manipulated. I know of guides who register doctoral fellows and send them home only to call them after couple of years and tell them to write a pre determined thesis which will be defended by him in front of a pre arranged friendly committee on a reciprocal basis. The situation is not so bad that good PhD's can not find jobs. Such doctorates lack confidence and are prepared to work as peons.

Before trying to comment on Gujarat model would anyone be kind enough to define what exactly is meant by the Gujarat Model?

Exactly sir. Age and source of education is no bar for learning. Even from a street juggler one can learn.

There can be no uniform model for all states. The states like Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, Haryana give soldiers to the nation and thus help in defendingour borders. Some states are rich in mineral wealth and so mining is their base of development. Each state has to develp on basis ofits own peculiarities.
Exactly sir. For example in AP there is a long coastline. This enables us to go for sea based industries like Fish exports to many countries. Likewise other states too utilize their natural resources. This facility may not be there in other states.

They all seem very exotic and delicious...I have seen Zameen dos being prepared by some cooks in Rajasthan recently on a cookery show, where they said that it is very much in practice and extensively prepared when the existing royalty and their guests go for desert stays ..

Of course, what you said is true for those things which we do regularly. The problem arises when we deal with occasional things. Acronym way to remembering things will help.

You can remember by association with ideas. U got my adhar number recently. This is 12 digit number. Hard to remember. But now I remember this very easily. Giw? First two digits are my brother's year of birth. Next two dgits are my year of graduation. Then there is biggest number '9' . Two digits are first war of independence. By such association, remembering the adhar numbe became very easy.
I too use something similar since I have a problem remembering numbers like Bank account no which are 13 digit long...although I am not able to memorise the entire number, I remember the last 6 numbers and that is good enough ..
It is difficultto rememberlong words and numbers. It becomes easier to remember by splitting in small parts. You can remember thirteen deigits by splitting into Four first digits + four next digits + three last digits. Remeber each part separately. Thus you will remember all the thirteen digits.

rambabu replied to the topic Why do we go gaga over actors and new films?.
It's more in Tamil Nadu only. South India is not Just Tamil Nadu. There are fan clubs of course in Kerala and AP. But not as much as in Tamil Nadu. I think in Karnataka the craze for movie actors is comparatively less.

Repetition makes all the difference. We remember a number of phone numbers because we use them regularly. Similarly if we are the person handling regular bank transactions, we can remember the account number without any difficulty. Here we need not even associate any ideas with them.
