Gulshan Kumar Ajmani said thank you to vijay for his/her reply to the topic Writers returning their awards - what do they hope to achieve?.
You have put it very aptly. Also implied in this is the fact that they consider the people to be fools not to understand. Their backers want now the antecedents of the protesting writers to be gone into. A narrow agenda can never lead to broad gains.

rambabu replied to the topic What Durga Pujo Can Teach India About Communal Harmony.
There are vested interests always. Creating communal disturbances is their mission. It is not the case in Durga Puja. In Durga puja all people irrespective os caste, creed and religion take part. No one prevents the people from entering the Puja Pandals of Durga. It is not just worship of Durga. It is the display of cultural aspect of Bengalis.

Honesty is not same thing as telling lies. In fact, to tell lie in interest of duty is honesty. Honesty means doing your job sincerely and if need be tell lie for your performance.
I agree. A doctor who does his job sincerely is Honest. And his duty is to save one's life. My opinion is some times it becomes necessary for a doctor to kindle hope in a dying patient. Then there is nothing wrong in lying with the patient. Because the Doctor's ultimate mission is to save the patient.
Anyhow this is my personal opinion.
Thanks Ram Baboo. But let me add that whatever we write is perosnal opinion. So it is not necessary to tell.

The PM cooperates under extreme pressure and has been forced to issue statements condemning the recent incidents in Dadri and Mumbai. Too little too late. Could the writer's protest have played a small part in this pressure? One cannot expect writers with leanings towards BJP to surrender their awards. Manmohan Singh spoke less as a matter of his nature unlike present PM who falls into silence when his party members go diabolic.
Statement under pressure is not only too little and too late. This is not even whole hearted. I am tempted to refer to a tactics followed when there is gropup fighting. The younger ones are encouraged to fight against the opponents. But the elders when confronted pay a lip service to harmony and advise the younger to keep calm. Everyone however knows that this advice is only formal.

Whichever way you look at it Honesty is the best policy. Rest is all compromise with an specific outcome in mind. Ill gotten gains weigh heavily on one's conscience howsoever normal one may try to appear. One falls in the eyes of near and dear one's who even though they are the beneficiaries do not respect the dishonest. Frankly it is not worth it but yes it is attractive.

Gulshan Kumar Ajmani replied to the topic What Durga Pujo Can Teach India About Communal Harmony.
Communal harmony depends on mutual respect between all communities. I don't know how any festival can teach communal harmony. The Puja celebrations are for nine days. Yesterday, there was a big demonstration before Agra Municipal Corporation for demanding a ban on sale of meat in all the nine days. such demand for ban is stronger near temples. But I find that there is no street wothout some temple. Then where can poor meat/ Baryani sellers work. It is their livelihood. Incidentally, There is animal sacrifice- goats and buffalo in some Hindu temples also. Then what is the logic for such ban. Today I found that the chicken baryani stalls are functional in most places. There is small group of trouble makers. They in fact try to disturb communal harmony on such occasions.

Durga Pooja is the biggest festive event for a Bengali. Many of my Bengali friends leave for Kolkata applying mass leave. Though leaving the Headquarters all at a time is not allowed in a steel making firm, Bengalis are given that privilege because of the importance of the festival given by Bengalis.

It happened in Telangana. KCR, the CM of Telangana wants to demolish heritage structures of Osmania General Hospital. But the opposition is strongly opposing the move. The CM of Telangana is a power hungry and greedy CM of newly formed Telangana state.
