I cannot think of another Chief Minister as corrupt or self centered as the one who is ruling our state Karnataka. On the one hand farmers have been committing suicide because of drought and  because they are unable to repay their loans and Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah  periodically pays lip service, that too when he is reminded by the media and blames PM Modi for this state of affairs within his state . Many of the state government daily wage earners have not been paid for months , some for almost a year. And what does Siddaramaiah do ?   sends his MLAs on foreign tours and along with other Minsisters and MLAs demand free club membership in all the private clubs, has plans of building a palace for himself costing 25 crore rupees..

And as if that is not enough now the latest in his line of misadventures is a plan to allot nearly 2400 BDA house sites to politicians ...Do we really deserve such leaders ? If only we could send leaders like him on a one way ticket to mars..

There is a scarcity for food. There is a scarcity for essential commodities. There is a scarcity for Honesty. But is there a scarcity for corruption and its Pujaris whom we call fondly "Politicians."?

Siddaramiah has a six room 4000 Sq. feet in a Prime locality in the city. Now because the CM has no designated office for the CM.   hence PWD department has decided to build residence with a cost of Rs.25 Crores. However, the plan to build an official residence at Carlton house has been dropped due to public protests

But Siddaramiah is not alone. There are many efficient corrupt CMs all over India

We have had corrupt Chief Ministers before - Veerappa Moily, Gundu Rao, Yediyurappa were all corrupt and have been entangled or involved in various scams during their period of rule, but Siddaramaiah beats everyone hollow.. He has no respect for anyone but himself, he wanted to convert heritage buildings into his quarters, thankfully for now the project has been stopped because everyone joined in and protested against it.But apparently now he is eyeing another one such old buildings ..

It happened in Telangana. KCR, the CM of Telangana wants to demolish heritage structures of Osmania General Hospital. But the opposition is strongly opposing the move. The CM of Telangana is a power hungry and greedy CM of newly formed Telangana state.

While the CM is the epitome of corruption in Karnataka and richly deserves to be condemned one should not lose sight of the sly manner in which bureaucrats manage to corner best plots and other riches without facing the limelight. It is they who are te real beneficiaries of te corrupt system all over the country. It is time attention was also directed at tem. Corrupt politicians are not the only ones who damage the system.

Yes. The word Corruption envelops  all. Not necessarily the politicians. Corruption includes rich and powerful to even a common man.

The entire political lot are the same , they look for advantage even in a situation of distress like it happened in Karnataka...Rahul Gandhi visited ( non one was sure why he actually did visit) at his own time and convenience after a few hundred farmers committed suicide and left them even more distressed. A few cheques that were handed over by him t the widows were apparently taken back after he left !

Without being misunderstood, even if there was no corruption, unfortunately the farmers would still be committing suicides. The two have no corelation.  The farmers are at te lowest rung of the business ladder and that makes them considerably vulnerable to not being able to face financial losses due to natural and other calamities. The farmers also must come together and form a political party and bargain for lending their support to political parties on their terms and conditions.  In India that is the only way now to get justice and economic packages. Sell votes enbloc.

CM of Karnatka is enjoying his special rights. Condition of Karnatka is so worse no one image. People have not right to call back. Farmers are dying in every state. Here is this situation in Punjab. Farmers of Punjab are doing agitation and blocke railway track. Agitation is the only weapon for the people of Kranataka.

Yes agitation and forming pressure groups. Politics in our country has now got reduced to this stae if one wants justice. The politicians have turned deaf and blind. They only see foreign trips, bigger bungalows, and financial security for seven generations to follow them. all at state expense of course. So till people do not agitate they will not get anything.

Farming community has always been used by the politicians who remember them in their slogans and conveniently forget about them after elections. It is the responsibility of the state government to cater to the interest of all communities. If there have been suicides going on among the farmers it becomes the duty of the Chief Minister and the Minister in charge to go to the root of the problem and find the reason and eradicate thee problem rather than pretend there is no problem and go on with their pleasure seeking...Thats what is happening here , probably happening elsewhere in the country as well ! But here the CM has been useless all round in every sphere and naturally people are quite fed up his corrupt ways !

There are other CMs like Sidda ramiah in other states too. The spate of farmer deaths in Telangana did not move The CM Chandrasekhara rao.. In his own district Medak, recorded 34 farmer deaths after the formation Telangana state. Instead of taking measures to curb farmers deaths, simply dismissed them as opposition's drama. While these suicides are going on. The CM was touring China. What i wanted to tell is, the condition is prevailing in other states too

It's not only about corrupt officers it is about the person ,a common man who encourages all these non-sense by giving bribe to the ministers.

A good link. This is again,   points out to the corruptive ways of both the states.  The wily Chandrabau, in order to create an impression that only in Telangana, farmer deaths are rampant, he has conveniently hidden the fact that in AP also there are farmer deaths.. This link has revealed the facts.

This link is not new , in fact was posted by me on another discussion on the same subject started by me and you had commented on that too...

I agree. I commented. I was following the news channels. But this link from The Hindu has thrown new light on the farmer deaths in AP and Telangana are equally distributed. It is not rampant only in Telagana, farmer deaths are there more even in AP. I was carried away by the partisan attitude of those news channels which support Chandrababu.

The title "The most corrupt minister'  is very astonishing. I went througfh the links to search for what is the corruption for which the C.M. is blamed. Therfe appears nothing that could be called corruption. One may agree or not with need for a new designated accommodation for C.M.  There needs be a designated accommodation for C.M. This is provided for senior I.A.S officers as well.  some existing accommodation could be designated as C.M. accommodation or a new building could be constructed. It is for state administrative authorities to see. The accommodation being constructed is a public property and the C.M. will vacate after expiry of his term. There is no corruption involved even in second link that is about MLA accommodation.  Every financial decisioopn is not corruption.  When there is transparancy, proper sanction and allotment of funds,  the allegation of corruption cannot be made.

Corrupt practices are corrupt any way you look at it and we dont need any links or media endorsement for it since it is there for all to see...Bangalore and other major cities are facing innumerable problems like water, power and bad roads and the CM has no qualms of spending 25 crores which is a lot of money on his personal comfort and as you rightly point out for 5 years of his stay ( May be he hopes to spend his life time there !) There are already 2 residences with huge gardens in very posh localities meant for the CM, both close to Vidhan Soudha, so is there any need for another and who bares the cost and how are they going to account for it ? Just because he is the CM does not mean he pays left hand taking away from right hand !

MLA accommodations are also illegal since there is already a process of alloting sites by the BDA ( Bangalore development authority) to residents who have been applying after paying 25% down payment , and reapplying since many years and now they will be deprived of their allotment because of the preference given to the MLAs..Isnt this a corrupt practice especially when these MLAs have done precious little for the state !

One is not able to understand why we are not able to improve our civic facilities to world standards. It is pathetic to see ancient level facilities in cities which contribute to our international image like Bangalore or Mumbai and other cities. It is not that skills do not exist. It is the quality of our elected leaders that to a large extent responsible for this sorry state of affairs. For too long now politics has been left to individuals who are dishonest and use muscle power. The educated consider it below their dignity to participate in politics but want the best facilities. Our national pastime is to go on cribbing and blaming every one else but ourselves. At anytime we are only blaming and blaming. If the vast majority is docile then they will be taken for a ride by the few smart ones.

Obviously politicians and heads of states live in a different kind of reality altogether because our neighboring state of AP is as bad as our own CM Siddaramaiah , planning on spending a new capital rather than develop an already existing smaller city ..Wit utter disregard for the miseries of the poor farmers Chandrababu Naidu is planning to spend a whopping 100 crores on the stone laying ceremony !
