Kalyani Nandurkar said thank you to MG Singh for his/her reply to the topic Indian Air Force is not at full strength and this is a grave handicap when facing China/.

Air Force especially it's Chiefs for accepting neglect by government and not making noise even after retirement. Chinese economy is today 6 to 7 times larger than Indian economy and at thst level producing defence items is logical.
The Chiefs of the IAF right from Arjan Singh downwards are equally culpable, but one fact does stand out that Indians historically do not want to fight. China was way behind India which had a steel plant in 1949, while not even a bicycle was made in China. There is thus no excuse for this neglect and somehow we fritter energy in things like caste etc. Now to cry that China economy is bigger has no meaning. We could have emulated China.

Family planning is being advocated in India through all family planning centers and government hospitals but unless individuals realise the importance and think as a nation , nothing much can happen...

There never is and never has been any doubt that Mahishasura was an evil force and a demon and it is only now with left support that such communal divide taking gods name has been happening in our country . All hindus who are aware of their culture and know the mythology know this for a fact so let us not simply go by some tom and dick ,harry and left ideas and say left is right and right is left ! Some people can go to any length to defend the wrong doings of their party even disowning scriptures !
True Usha, the lower caste people who are now trying to celebrate the death anniversary of Mahishasura saying that he was a valiant and righteous leader of the original inhabitants (mulnivasis) are only doing so at the behest and provocation of congress and leftists. Both of these factions have never done anything concrete to bridge the gap between communities, in fact only poured oil on the flames and still keep doing it. My point is, why such happenings are allowed to take seed and grow rapidly in the JNU which is funded by people? Why should we pay for the poison that this 'illustrious' institution is sowing in the minds of the young? Such institutions should be closed down and such agitations quashed down. Another thing that comes to mind is why do students in other institutions think of such ridiculous ideas and concepts to fight for? Total confusion.....

His beliefs have an important bearing on what he wrote. He framed the constitution in a way that allowed the government to expand the definition by including powers to identify OBC. Arun Shourie has written extensively on Ambedkar and I have read somewhere that Ambedkar denigrated Hindu gods and bore a grudge against Hinduism. All this is very relevant to the discussion
Of course religion plays a dominant part in caste reservations....Here is a very interesting link that gives some points of views expressed by people close to Ambedkar and others..

@Kalyani's passionate advocacy is indicative of the deep sense of hurt felt by a section of Hindus who believe that minorities have been pampered and their misdeeds are overlooked. She may well be right but may well be wrong depending which way one looks at the isue. Congress has portrayed BJP as anti Muslim and BJP has portrayed Congress as pro Muslim. Both have won votes on these portrayals. Both have compromised when it has suited then with extreme religious groups of the other side. The truth is somewhere in between. However increasing sensitivity has got injected which makes contrary views look very hostile and extreme reaction are freely expressed. There seems to be no leader of stature to calm the rising temperatures.
It is this very fact which you stated is the cause of such anguish and the reason for increasing rift amongst communities, that congress has and is vehemently trying to portray BJP as being Anti-Muslim, which it is not. Neither am I an anti-Muslim or anything close to it. I have some very great and dear friends from that community and am well aware of their current predicament which congress misrule has out them into. Under the guise of doing good, they only made a few handful religious figureheads of that community powerful who did not let progress of any kind trickle down to the lowest member of their following. BJP on the other hand is working hard in Kashmir, to bring Muslims close to other Indians, working hard for emancipation of neglected-by-congress NE states and all other remote places where congress leaders find it not in their best interests to go and work. If there is rising intolerance among Hindus, they cannot be blamed, you all are putting weapons into Muslims hands and then expect Hindus to thurst their necks forward to enable the weapon wielders to cut them easily, why? And of course, if you have reason to give a benefit of doubt to the Muslims for their deeds and good deeds, give the same space to Hindus too. It will not work and not be tolerated if Hindus are denied that space and freedom/ and coming to your statement on the absence of a substantial leader, at least try and give Modi five years where you have already given congress 65 years of free hand. Do not cry wolf when he is unable to repair the damage of 65 years in just 1.5 years.
Very true and I agree that too much is being expected of Modi and the opposition is going all out to pressurise him in every way possible without caring a hoot about the country or its development. Kashmir is another story altogether, ...This was a link I got today which sums up the Kashmir story as to how Hindus have become strangers in their own home uled by Hindus ..
