True. Buses used by Schools are in a dangerous condition, causing accidents. Such Buses and the Schools using such Buses were put to task very recently by the Education dept Of AP.

I tried my best by sending the smart ones from 3rd and 4th spot to 7th and 8th spot in last week's LB. Next time the story will be even worse. I am keeping a record of all the members on leader board.

rambabu replied to the topic Native place of Arya's.
In my previous thread, I said, the Theory of Invasion of Aryans it self being denied by Indian Historians. Yes, it's true that History has to be rewritten. High time History written by Colonial British should be set aside.

Why are you targeting Rambabu, it is his opinion that he likes ayurveda and believes in Patanjali products. It is your opinion that you may like or dislike the Patanjali products, But I believe that till now Patanjali is giving its best services to our country and the international companies who were selling their low quality product at high rate are now feeling danger of loosing their market.

It is more than two years that we are hearing that changes are on their way. The journey seems to be taking too long a time or has it indeed started.

It is a myth created by English in 17th & 18th centuries to show Indians down. When they came here they saw  flourishing kingdoms and history running to antiquity. So they created the myth that original inhabitants were not so brilliant and outsiders from Central Europe etc came and thus wanted credit for civilization developing in India. Unfortunately whenever their is a theory downgrading Indians there are always significant number of Indians who start parroting these theories. Has it ever occurred to anyone as to why India has always received everything from abroad and never the reverse. It is time history was corrected on this Aryan theory account. Therefore when no Aryans came where is the question of their origin.

Usually State Transport buses after running for more than 5 lakh kms are disposed off to schools. so their condition can be understood. Schools are not bothered about bus quality just as they are not bothered about education quality.

Normally , children are playful thereby forgetting their lessons once they reach home except a few salient points.  True...and also another benefit of homework is that parents can remain abreast of what is happening at the school and can keep a track of their child's progress with respect to the portion covered in school. There are some schools in Pune where no homework is given, books are kept at school, in essence a bagless environment. It works for some bright kids but others who are average or below average, parents are in dark what and how much is covered in school and since they do not have books at home, they can't help either. Very true Kalyani! The education concept and the syllabus is formulated keeping in mind all the students, bright, average and of poor intelligence. In most private schools the cut of level while taking students is very high because they want to get 100% results which government schools cannot do. They have to take everyone. If they manage to get even 50% results it is commendable. In my school we got 75% results for both SSLC snd Pre University. This is possible only when teachers make that extra effort of keeping the students on their toes tight from the early years and involve the parents by giving homework . Homework is study material for home so it cannot be finished off at school. Exactly Usha, the basic concept of homework is so that the children can revise and reflect on what has been taught in school and so have a better grasp and understanding of the subject. But sadly most schools and parents use it just complete the subject [portion in hurry and then use remaining time span to just keep on learning answers by heart to score marks. There is no importance given to conceptual learning. Even though many schools achieve a success rate of 100% for SSC board exams and many students score above 90% it is of no use because they have been earned by just learning answers and not understanding concept.

Kalyani Nandurkar replied to the topic Dehydration.
Since we have arrived at a conclusion that dehydration can be corrected by adding salt and sugar to water and there is no other more plausible known remedy, it seems there is nothing else left to discuss and discover, so closing the thread.
