Let's do something worthwhile
Humans are not animals although their fast increasing population is worrisome. So let’s do something to learn that will keep us busy and interested in life. Be a little considerate and try to understand why we fail to learn something new. There is a very simple reason behind that which we know but don’t want to accept that. Actually we all have that in us but we are too lazy to apply that for practical purposes.
Sometimes we are either too lazy or in trying to preserve our energy we do not want to do anything unless must, but that is not the way you can expect something new in your life. The life will be nothing but a routine if we don’t do something to become monotonous.
I will quote motivational speaker Robin S. Sharma, a great author and the writer of “The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari”. Those who are not willing to learn something new become older sooner than they should. The ones willing to learn something certainly add “Possibilities” in their lives and the last thing that people who have no will to learn feel older than they really are.
“We are all here for some special reason. Stop being a prisoner of your past. Become the architect of your future.” - Robin S. Sharma
What is important now, is it the willingness to WIN? Okay but then you will have to do whatever you’re doing right now is important and if it’s not, there is no use doing it. Do not leave a job unless you have finished it. Finish, this is also applicable to whatever you’re doing at any given time has its importance. If you are at work, just be there. It’s important to be there unless the job is fully done.
Finally, learning something new is indicative of progress, the betterment in life. The people who keep learning something new feel happier inside. Learning something new is sign of acceptance. Read “The Heart of the Buddha's Teaching: Transforming Suffering into Peace, Joy, and Liberation” by Vietnamese Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hanh.
He says we live in ‘past’ and when we hear something new we first compare it with our own thoughts if they fit with our own self-set rules we find them okay otherwise we reject them and refuse to learn anything new. Now it is up to you whether you want to improve yourselves or stay the same.
