In this article I am going to say about Air pollution and how it effected our nature. Every organism requires air, water and food for living. Nature is polluted by dust, smoke and some bad odour gases. This destroys nature badly. The presence of substances which is not suitable to atmosphere is called pollution.
The substances which are present in higher ration than required ratio in air is called Air pollution
Causes of Air Pollution:
1. Deforestation: Reduction in the area of forests causes decrease in the volume of oxygen which is the most important for living creatures.
2. Combustion of fuels: Due to the combustion of charcoal, kerosene, diesel and petrol. Burning of fire wood which is used in houses also causes of air pollution.
3. Pollution by vehicles: The heavy usage of vehicles also causes air pollution because they emit gases like carbon monoxide, Nitric oxide, sulphur dioxide and lead compounds.
4. Industries: Factories release harmful gases with dust, smoke etc which causes air pollution.
5. Due to Atomic Radiation: The atomic experiment releases radio active elements in air which causes pollution.
6. Sound pollution: The sounds which is more than the audible range causes air pollution.
Defects of Polluted Gases:
1. Fire wood in houses when burnt carbon dioxide is released. This makes difficulty in breathing and increase the temperature of earth.
2. Due to combustion of fuels carbon dioxide, sulphur dioxide is released due to this may cause headache, mental disorder and also leads to death.
3. Due to vehicles carbon monoxide, sulphur dioxide is released majorly. Sulphur dioxide causes breathlessness in human beings and animals. This also destroys chlorophyll in plants and shows effect in plants growth.
4. From industries sulphur dioxide, nitric oxide, carbon monoxide, zinc, chromium, nickel, lead smoke containing particles are released in to air. The particle of zinc, chromium, lead cause diseases of lungs, skin, astma and other allergies.
5. Due to Atomic radiations strontium 90 is released. Due to this causes cancer which is dangerous for living creatures.
6. Due to the Sound pollution causes deafness and shows effect on central nervous system leading to mental disability.
Controlling measures of air pollution:
1. By regular checking smoke from vehicles.
2. By regular checking smoke from industries.
3. By using devices which can filter polluting agents.
4. By planting more trees.
5. By taking actions to control deforestation.
6. By educating people about pollution and preventing methods.
