National integration
National integration means binding the people of a nation into a single identity. It is a binding which is above all caste, region, and religion and language considerations. National integration is a feeling of love and harmony, co-operation and peace, unity and oneness. It means that all our interests are secondary to the nation and its interest.
India is my country. It is blessed with lush green forests, vast deserts, great oceans, rivers and mountains. Each is more beautiful than the other. Amongst themselves they hold treasure of various animals, plants, birds and fish. Her soil is very fertile. And on it grow wheat, rice, lentils, spices, fruits and other grains. Her mountains contain many medicinal plants. India has vast variety of caste, regions, religions and races. India is the country where people of different communities live together. They share joys and sorrows together. They celebrate each other’s festival. They have always lived in peace and harmony.
India is a secular country. In India all religions are equal and all are given equal recognition and protection, whether it is Hinduism, Christianity, Islam, Sikhism, Buddhism or Jainism. As a secular country India allows its citizens to choose and practice any religion of their choice. Many religions like Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism etc. originated in this great land. Our country has given many great saints and social reformers and leaders in all communities. They all have emphasized the power of love, tolerance, adaptation, equality and harmony.
We have the tradition of going on pilgrimages t our places f worship which is spread out in all corner of the country. Love is the basic teaching of every religion. So, we should have the same respect and regard for other religions just as we respect our own religion.
India is the largest democracy in the world
India has a vast variety of cultures, and languages. People belonging to different faith live in comparative peace and harmony. But some of us have narrow feelings of regional and communal boundaries. Some of us exploit the emotional, religious and regional sentiments of people to divide them. Each of us thinks himself to be first a Punjabi, Gujarati or Tamilian. None of us thinks himself t is Indian first. Narrow regional interest should be sacrificed in the broader interest of the nation.
India is the largest democracy in the world. Since independence India has an adult franchise. Women have always enjoyed an equal status as men.
In an election a candidate whether a Hindu or a Muslim, Sikh or Parsi can hope to succeed only if he secures the votes of the people of every community and religion. There is no reservation of seats for any community expects the scheduled castes and Anglo- Indians. Similarly, while getting administration in any educational institution religion is no hindrance. In matters of employment also no discrimination can made on the basis of religion. Apart from than all of us have a common heritage, based on equality and mutual respect. Our unity in diversity is unique.
So, national integration is important for any country. It is more important for a country like India which has a vast variety of religions, customs, traditions and languages; it is our moral duty to live together.
Let us sort out our difference amicably and build a strong united India.
I was walking in the lair
of cold shadows
I strongly sulk as my tears
turn to fire,
my very being dissolving right
before the rain drops,
tears turn to fire and fire
turns to blood
and my very soul bleeds
at the very absence of her name
No matter what I do,
I still can't seem to forget
her name
My tears drop the more,
as I realized my world,
being burnt by the fire of melancholy
My life being made worthless,
totally artificial,
by the lost of my breathe of life,
my existence, like ready wood,
an altar to the burning fire of sadness
My life,
torn to worthless pieces of paper
suddenly the world got cold
and no jacket could keep me warm,
all because someone was not there,
she was there.

A few staggering steps, a couple of blinking eyes and Orion’s ivory laden hands bludgeoning your face. The world around you shimmers into a black hole and the last thing you see is speck of red trying to fend off a rush of blue amidst applauses and jeers that don’t really help the numbness you feel. You wait in complete darkness as if everything around you has just frozen in time. The blinding ray of light in between popping heads and then the realisation hits you.
The Euphoria of silverware around your neck and you standing tall in your once crimson red attire now turned into a deeper shades reduces to a stretch of canvas where it all started boxing for you was not about passion on your way to London as a fifth grader to be a part of the youth camp of your favourite football club when Rome anonymous uncle had drilled the idea of boxing into your dad’s head and your London dreams transformed into a three hour drive stacked away at the rare wagon at a little more than four feet tall you never really had a chance. The very idea of letting your dad down started eating into you like a parasite.
That was one thing that your dad had taught you, never give up and you embodied it. The stern determination and those gruelling hours of practice made you grow both in size and in stature. You were no longer the fish being bulled around the bigger guys. The thought you had made big, big enough for your dad to be proud about you.
But destiny had the knack of raising the bar every time. The thought you had scaled it. You found your name as one of the probable’s for the London commonwealth games. The circle of life starts again and you somehow manage to go a notch further.
The glory days went on when you suddenly realize that the arena that was backed to the brim an hour ago was found wanting for traces of human life. The last of the medical staff helps you catch as cap and make the three hours drive back home. It had all come down to final showdown until the winner to take it all. A final showdown where so much was expected of you there you were so close, yet so far away. You had success right in your palms but elusive snitch made it out.
The cab screeched down the drive way. There were no surprises waiting for you. There was a grey cat walking a green fence under a grey shy. Faces with super imposed smiles welcome you. Somewhere in the crowd pushed around was a face gleaming with pride. Your dad embraces you and you feel your bones crunched.
