Sri Shirdi Saibaba Mandir, Koneru, Secunderabad

No comments on “Sri Shirdi Saibaba Mandir, Koneru, Secunderabad”

One of my recent visits in Hyderabad has been the Koneru Sai Baba Temple in Secunderabad. It is located near the Secunderabad Railway Station. To be more exact it is located on the lane just behind the Regional passport office of Hyderabad. This is one of oldest pilgrimage of Sai Baba in Andhra Pradesh and has one of the tallest Idols Of Sai Baba. The Sai Baba Mandir was inaugurated in 1938. Sri Vaidya Narayana Thirtha Sweminaha is said to have led the "Sthapana" of Sai Baba idol. I am one of the devotees of Sai Baba and it so happened that I reached there at the time of the Arti.05012012249

As soon as I entered the temple, my mind and soul both seemed to have come to peace. The omnipresent, omnipotent and the omniscient Sai Baba was felt all over the temple. Sai Baba is considered as a savior to all his devotees. The offerings and the faith of the devotees at the holy place justified his eternal presence over there.

One of the amazing thing about the idol of Sai Baba was that he was sitting on a lotus. There were also provisions for "Prasadam" and the "chanamrit". The beautifully sculptured temple with a huge prayer hall to accommodate all its devotees and a "dhuni" which would provide Udhi Prasadam to the devotees justifies the Trustees endeavor to preserve the glory of the temple.

Not only this, the temple administration is said to have involved in the various social activities like.

• Daily free medical check-up.

• Daily Annadanam to needy and poor people.

• Blood donation camp, and free eye camps are also conducted at a regular intervals.

Apart from this other social activities are also being done for the poor and the unprivileged children. Such an effort is surely markable to keep up the preaching and holiness of Sai Baba.

Sai Baba started his preaching in Shirdi, Maharastra. But his followers all over India are spreading his words of togetherness and peacefulness with the same enthusiasm and zeal that Baba would have wanted. May the almighty shower his blessings on all of us.

Om Sai Ram.

If we know the difference between faith and religion

We can find solution to problems concerning religious differences-differences in faiths and conflicts of devotions. History reveals that although all major wars have been fought in defense of religion, yet we cannot overlook the fact that religion helps preserve the humanness and dignity of mankind. All religious teachings in the world enable a man to express himself fully in order to fulfill destiny.

Religion means to follow your true, original nature. Rocks, minerals, animals, plants, birds and all creatures below human level act always the way are supposed to act, according to the laws of nature. They are governed by `physical laws.’ But human beings never act according to these laws of nature. A human is supposed to follow humanity. And that is his Dharma or nature or religion if we may call it so.

Religion is a virtue where by we offer our acts of faith hope and love to the Almighty, whoever he may be ad by whatever name we may call him. It means showing publicly what one believes for the good of humanity. It is expressed by public prayer. It insufficient one does not live one’s prayer.

Hence all those who for the betterment of humanity belong to one and the same universal religion though they may differ in their faiths. The one who is heartless, cruel and dishonest, and yet praying day and night is a hypocrite. Whatever faith he may believe in or may be proud of, he is certainly not following its principles, and abuses his own religion. No religion sanctions cruelty or heartlessness towards others.

If this truth is understood by all mankind, there will be no wars in the name of religion. All religious prophets have said, `love thy neighbor.’ No prophet teaches to kill thy neighbor!’ if you understand this truth religious tolerance automatically follows. The day we learn to live this truth, we shall inevitably love all the human beings, and respect all religions. All this will pave the way to only one religion in the world, the religion of `humanity!’.

When we talk about holy palces we will be coming across many places and many temples in that area i have visted SriKalahasti temple in Kalahasti which is  near to Tirupati in AndhraPradesh. This temple is very famous temple This temple is a Shiva shetram and this temple is very famous for its Rahu Ketu pooja. This pooja is only done in certain time that is in rahukalam time.Whenever we go this pooja is done only at that particular time .This temple is open all the Nithya Darshanam. When we enter into the temple we first find the Paatala Ganapti cave. This is also a milestone for this temple. It was a great expericence for me visiting this Paatala Ganapati as Ganapati is at underground. We need to bent and go inside and getdown the steps .The steps are also very small and high . Only ten members at a time can eneter into that cave. After visiting Paatala Ganapathi we can either proceed to Darshan or we can go to Rahu Ketu pooja it depends on our schedule. The ticket for that pooja varies different level of costs three hundered rupees five hundered rupees seven hundered and fifty rupees fifteen hundered rupees   After taking the ticket at the ticket counter itself they will be giving the pooja materials and no need to buy any material from outside they will supply at the counter itself. There will be seperate mandapas for pursing the pooja accoring to the range of the ticket. After proceeding to the respective mandapas we will be seated and the pooja will start at the rahukalam time.If we wnat to do rahu ketu pooja we need to go at rahukalam time .They do not pooja in any other times. The maids there will tell how to arrange the pooja items before starting of pooja and then priest will give us instructions and continue the pooja. This pooja takes around twenty to twenty five minutes. After completion of pooja take darshan of Shiva and Padamavati or if darshan is over visit other idiols and exit. This Kalahasti is a great experience to me and i hope god will be blessing everyone with good health, happiness  and wealth

Dakshineshwar Temple in Kolkata attract many people around the world. It is one of the oldest temple of Goddess Kali .  People generally pray to Mother Goddess Kali for getting their wishes fulfilled and for  their well being.  It Is the same temple where Shri Ramakrishna Paramahansa did pray and had the darshan of Mother Kali.  He used to be the priest of the temple . People used to throng the temple  to see his pujas and hear his sayings. Shri Ramakrishna and Maa Sharada led a simple life within a small house at the temple premises.  On early morning, people visit to have a look at Goddess Kali after taking holy bath at river ganges which flows at peak near the temple.  The British people has constructed the temple with marvellous beauty.  People enchant the holy name of `Joi Maa Kali' and `Joi Maa Kali' .

12 Jyotirlingas temples of Lord shiva and Shri Radhakrishna temple draw attention of the public especially on saturday and sundays.  It is a place where one can really forget all the worries and worship at the feet of  Mother Goddess Kali .  In the evening one can enjoy the beauty of the river ganges by spending some time on the beach of the river.  Children get more attracted to monkeys as they are the best entertainers of all time.  The aarti and puja in the main temple is worth watching.  Shri Ramakrishna and Mother Sharada rooms are well maintained and one can do meditation.  Nothing is greater than spending a peaceful and a happy life. This statement can be felt after the visit to the temple. The conch and shell items including the sandal wood items are sold on the bank of the river.  Small restrautrant and tiffin centres are available where one can enjoy both the Bengali sweets and other food items.  The temple is well accessible by road and rail.  The nearest railway station is Howrah.
