Look out into the universe and contemplate the glory of god. Observe the stars, millions of them, twinkling in the night sky, all with a message of unity, part of the very nature of God.
Eating, drinking, and sleeping! A little laughter much weeping is that all! Do not die here like a worm, wake up! Attain bliss.
When a pot is broken, the space init is not, and similarly, when the body dies the self in it remains eternal.
Our rational minds can never understand what has happened, but our hearts… if we can keep them open to God, will find their own invite way.
You know that you know nothing. Find out that knowledge. That is liberation, mukti.
If we can really understand the problem, the answer will come out of it, because the answer is not separate from the problem.
All beings tremble before danger, all fear death. When a man considers this, he dose not kill or cause to kill.
The mind is an object of perception like the external world. The atman, the real seer, remains unknown.
This self neither born nor dies, is neither grows nor decays, nor does it suffer any change.
Man is in love with pleasure; therefore he must under go the yoke of grief and pain. For unmixed delight is only for the free and passionless soul; but what which pursues after pleasure in man is a suffering and staining energy.
God is one
Akbar and Birbal
Akbar once asked Birbal, ``How can one God many forms and yet be one?’’
Birbal replied, ``your majesty, all Gods is one. You call God ``Allah’’, Christians call God ``Jesus Christ’’. Hindu calls the same God by different names to suit each occasion.
Birbal then called a servant who was wearing a turban. Birbal made the man remove the turban and ear around it this waist. ``Now the turban becomes a belt, my lord,’’ said Birbal. Birbal asked the man to open the cloth and tie it at the waist. ``Now it becomes a Dhoti, my lord,’’ said Birbal.
Birbal thanked the man and then turned to Akbar. ``Your majesty, you saw yourself how the same cloth when worn differently is called by specific names. In the same way, water which goes into the air, and collects there is called a cloud. When it comes down it is called rain. When it flows, it becomes a river and so on. Like that, god is called by different names by different people even though God is one.
