Mullah Nasruddin was a wise man who lived in turkey. One day, he invited some friends home for dinner. But he did not have a pot big enough to hold food for so many people. So he borrowed a big from his neighbor.
The next day, when the feast was over and the pots cleaned, mullah went to his neighbor to return the big pot. He did not notice that by mistake this wife had kept a smaller pot inside the big borrowed pot. The neighbor noticed it and took the smaller pot out. ``You borrowed just one pot,’’ said the neighbor. ``Where did this smaller pot come from?’’
``Your pot gave birth to this little one last night,’’ said Mullah.
``So this pot too is yours. You may keep it’’ the neighbor was happy to hear this and gladly took the two pots.
Some days later, Mullah again had quests for dinner. He again went to the neighbor and borrowed a pot. But this time, Mullah did not return the pot. Many days passed and the neighbor grew worried about his pot. He went to Mullah and asked, ``Where is my pot?’’
``O my friend,’’ said Mullah, wiping his eyes with his robe.
``your poor pot died’’.
``What?’’ asked the neighbor angrily. ``Pots are living things. How can they die and how can they give birth?’’ do not lie to me, Mullah!
Mullah quickly replied, ``if pots can give birth, they can also die. It is true not.’’
The poor neighbor had nothing to say. He felt ashamed with the head down.
