Helping the poor and needy gives great joy and happiness.
Ashoka is a student of III standard. He was a very helpful nature. Whenever he finds anyone in need, he runs forward to help.
One day when he was coming back from school, he saw a poor lady fallen unconscious on the footpath she was wearing a dirty sari. Ashoka at once ran towards her. He put his hand on her forehead. It was very hot. The lady was suffering from high fever.
Ashoka sprinkled some water on her face. Soon there was some movement in her body. She murmured, ``Water! ’’ Ashoka gave her water to drink. Soon, she regained her senses. Then Ashoka asked, ``who are you Aunty?’’
The lady started weeping. ``What can I tell you my son! I am poor lady. I have nothing to feed myself and my little daughter. Now, she has fallen ill. I had come here too beg for some money so as to arrange some medicine for her.’’
Ashoka was very sad. He was caught in a strange situation. He did not have enough money to help her properly. He went in deep thought. Just then, he got an idea. His mother was in need of a domestic helper. She would pay her enough money as wages. If he got that lady to home as a domestic helper, she could be helped properly. The poor lady was looking at his face eagerly. He asked her to come with him.
On reaching home, Ashoka got her to meet his mother, who on his insistence, kept her as a domestic helper. She gave her the money as her wages in advance so as to get her daughter treated. Ashoka felt happy that he had have pleased the God by helping someone.
Helping nature for human is a good habit.
