One day before teacher’s Day, Ram was sitting alone in the class feeling ver5y sad and lonely. Angrily he was tearing a blank sheet of paper into small bits and throwing it in the dustbin. Just then his class teacher, Miss Mamata happened to pass by. She saw him sitting alone and came to him. She asked him smilingly as to why he was sitting alone when the entire class was downstairs preparing for the next day. Ram could no longer hold himself. Between tears and hiccups he told her about the day when he was on the verge of throwing the boy out of the class window and also its drastic aftereffects. Miss Mamata patted him thoughtfully and then asked him in her cheerful vice, `So what are giving me tomorrow?’ ram was very surprised, here he was pouring his heart out and she was worried about her gift.
`I have thought of anything,’ he grumbled. She laughed a little and said, `Tomorrow I will ask you to give me something. Do not refuse.’ Saying this, she was out of the class. Ram’s thoughts turned to his new problem of her gift. He mentally calculated the amount of money he had in money box and how much he could borrow his parents.
Next day, with hundred rupees kept safely in his bag, ram waited for Miss Mamata with bated breath. She came to the class and after taking the attendance accepted only one flower from each student. `When she is refusing all the gifts from the students what will she ask me to give?’ ram wondered.
Finally she turned towards, `So, Ram, are you ready to give me whatever ask?’
Ram nodded nervously. `Remember, if you give away something, you can not use it yourself’. `I hope she does not ask for my new pen,’ Ram thought. `Ram, I want you to gift me your anger. When you will give it to me, you will not have it and so you will not be able to use it,’ `Oh! He sighed. His precious pen and the hundred rupee note were safe with him. He was very relieved. He was readily gave away his anger to his dear teacher as a teacher’ Day gift.
But I was not as easy as you think. Ram was very nervous for the next fifteen Days. He had to constantly keep reminding himself at all times that had gifted away his anger and so he could not get angry. All his classmates were watching over him. After a week Ram started feeling better and gradually after a month he was a changed person. He stared enjoying the good things in life. He laughed with his friends. He became very popular. On the last day of the school when Ram went to take his final report card he gave a beautiful rose and a thank you card to Miss Mamata, for taking away his anger and making him a better person in life.
