Once there was an old king who had a beautiful young elephant. Every morning he would ride the elephant to go around his town. After the ride, he would send the elephant to its trainer who would bathe it and fed it.
One day, the king fell seriously ill. His son realized that he would never be able to ride the elephant; he decided to sell it to the circus. The elephant was very sad when it knew about this. But its trainer reassured him. `Don’t be said,’ `you will be fought many tricks and you will be happy to see the children who will all love you’.
This turned out be true for as soon as the elephant entered the ring, the children clapped heir hands and called out to it. When it did the tricks it had been taught, they laughed and clapped their hands. Everybody at the circus loved the elephant and it was happy traveling around the country with the circus.
On one of its trips, it moved at its old hometown. When it saw the town, it began to miss its old trainer and the king. As the days passed, it wanted to see them more and more. Finally, one night, while everyday was fast asleep. It ran away from the circus. However, when it reached the palace, it was shocked. There was nobody there. The palace seemed to be in ruins. The elephant trumpeted loudly and tears rolled down its tusk.
Suddenly, somebody called its name. It looked around and saw its trainer. Immediately, it went towards him lifted him onto its back. Then it carried him to the circus. Everybody at the circus was happy to see the elephant because they had seen searching for him all morning. They even decided to keep the trainer to look after al the elephant in the circus. The elephant was happy to be with its old friend again.
