T.V the short form for Television is a modern invention. It is one of the sources of entertainment. We can hear the sounds and see the people, places and objects on the T.V screen. The television programs are several and every second is utilized to show or tell us something. We not only hear the television news announcers on the screen. Games and sports are also shown. The live telecasts of international matches, olympic games, the visits of dignitaries, conferences, seminars, festival celebrations, the forest creatures and the sea-creatures are most interesting and most delightful.

Short plays, music performance of different kinds, commercial advertisements, the interviews with eminent as well as ordinary people of different fields of life are also useful to the spectators. The quiz programs in different languages are most inspiring. The important incidents and events are also shown to us. We are made to feel as if we were taking part in the actions taking place there. The ravages of cyclones, floods, earthquake and terrorists are telecast to make us get  glimpse of such things on the screen. The space-ships going to the outer space is thrilling.

We see a variety of scenes of nature - valleys, mountains - slopes the snow- covered Himalayas, oceans, deserts and plains. We see the nationals of all countries. We see all kinds of animals, birds , reptiles and insects at close-quarters. We begin to feel as if we had seen every nook and corner of this world.
