India is a rich cultural country. People of different castes and creed live over here. There's a cultural difference between them. Each and every state has its own culture and each of them is very rich and divine. People have different notions about Indian culture. Some feel that our culture is outdated. Others get mesmerized with our cultural values. Basis of our culture lies on two values. They are truth and morality. These are the best sources of wealth one can have. They lead to progress and development of an individual. They are the sources of prosperity. These are the two treasures often considered as twins as both of them are inter-related. Truth cannot live without morality and morality is incomplete without truth.
In the ancient times, sages in our country lived in forests. They were fearless. They lived in dense forests in the middle of wild animals. Wild and ferocious animals like tiger, lion, and others never harmed them. This is because sages were pure soul. They were noble in their thoughts and deeds. There never hated these animals. Thus, these animals too did not have an attacking nature and never harmed sages, in fact were friendly with them. Sages offered flour to ants and food grains to birds. They did not fear of their safety. They did not carry weapons to safeguard them from these animals. They spent their lives just by chanting the name of the Lord and were completely lost in Lord's divinity. They believed in him and had complete faith in him. They believed his existence in each and every creation of this world. They lived their life with the values of truth and morality. This signifies our culture which is glorious and cannot be described in words.
Youth of today should have certain goals. Materialistic goals can be easily achieved but real achievement is to strive to rise to the level of divinity. This must be achieved before one exits from his life. Virtues of truth and righteousness should be the goal of one's life. These will protect everyone and will destroy instincts which are beastly and will make an individual supreme and bring divinity in his life.
Lord Buddha was wandering in the deep forests in the search of truth. A lady offered him some food. Buddha told lady that he was in search of food of knowledge. Once a farmed insulted Lord Buddha that he was a lazy monk who just sat and did no work except wandering here and there. Thus, he would not offer him anything. Lord Buddha replied that he was doing the supreme work. He was cultivating on the land of the heart with love. He was working very hard to remove unwanted plants grown on land of the heart. These unwanted plants were evil tendencies. He helped in the harvesting of wisdom grains. Ultimately after doing hard work and struggling what he would obtain is the fruit of Bliss. Once man believes that God is within him, he becomes steady.
Truth is absolute and universal. Basis of truth is God itself. It is based on God. He himself provides reality which is universal and cannot be changed. Morality is also equally important. It helps one to decide between right and wrong. It's like a guide which is inbuilt and helps us make decisions. A person can preserve humanity only if he has moral values within him. It helps an individual to make a good choice. It helps an individual to make a right judgement. Thus, one has to celebrate life with its two treasures and ultimately it will lead in the progress of an individual.
