Animals
*Fish
- The most supervising fact about the fishes is that you cannot hear them but, they certainly hear you. The fishes are very well equipped for hearing. They have a pair of ears.
*Raccoon
- Raccoon is a very interesting animal. Some people believe that it washes its food before eating it. Most raccoons wash their food and there have been instances when not finding water to wash their food they refused to eat. Besides, they would even wash food caught in the water which certainly does not need washing. So the reason is probably that water makes food tastier from them.
*Rabbit
- Rabbit is a small furry mammal with a short tail and large pointed ears. The large area of the ear catches most of the sound waves produced in the air and passes them into the inner ear. This enables the rabbit to detect its enemies in time and to run to safety areas.
Birds
*Cassowary
- Cassowary is the most dangerous bird in the world. Its inner toe has a, long danger like claw that acts as a weapon and can slash open a man’s stomach. So it can easily kill a man or an animal.
*Wood pecker
- When we see a wood pecker at work on a tree, we get the impression that it is damaging it. But this is not true. In fact the wood pecker is a great help to the tree. It pecks the wood, looking for insects to eat. Quite often these insects and worms are harmful to the tree. It uses its long beak to capture and eat such insects.
*Songs and calls
- Sons and calls are an important method of communication among birds. They sing to warn other birds of danger from predators and to establish their home territories (nesting area). The bird calls usually distinctive and vary from species to species. This helps in the identification among the birds.
