Being punctual
There are many things we would like to do every day. But we do not have enough time to do them all. So we have to do whatever needs to be done first. Our life is a chain of activities. If we are late for any one of them, the rest also get delayed.
This means that we have to plan our day and manage our time, which is limited. If we do not manage our time well, we will be late for something and we will create a disturbance. When we plan our time well, we are being punctual. When we are punctual, we are not only on time but we can also finish all our work.
A time
Vijay was good at both sports and studies. He was pleasant and well mannered. He took part in all the extra-curricular activities. His teachers and friends admired his talent. But there was one thing no one liked about Vijay. He was always late everything. He often woke up late and missed his school bus, reaching school late. He rarely finished his work on time.
Late
Vijay’s parents were tired of telling him how important it was to be punctual. So his father decided to teach him a lesson in punctuality. He knew that Vijay was very excited about the next day because the junior cricket team was being selected. `Set your alarm clock, Vijay, he said `I am not going to wake you up tomorrow’, Vijay confidently told his father that he would get up without any difficulty.
The alarm rang in the morning and Vijay turned it off and went back to sleep. When he woke up he knew hew was late. He rushed for his bath, got ready, and ran to the bus stop. Even the bus was late. When he reached school, he found that the team had already been chosen. He had missed being selected, all because he was late.
