Words of wisdom
Tomorrow is an old deceiver and his never grows. Tomorrow is a beautiful and fanciful dream that never fulfils.
Punctuality is there.
`Time and tide wait for one ‘. Hold it by the forelock, for time wasted is time lost forever. Time is a voluble thing. It is forever fleeing at its own speed. It is for us to make its use properly. It is said. ``time is money’’. But time has, in fact, much more value than money as money once lost can be regained but time can’t be.
Be punctual to be on time. To be regular is also used for punctuality. Punctuality is the main characteristic of all the successful men. A person who values his time will surely progress and prosper. All great man are punctual too the minute. Mahatma Gandhi was very particular about his schedule. He was very punctual.
This is the age of science, in this age man’s needs have increased so much that he has to work hard to make his both ends meet. Hard work and punctuality has become the only key to success in life today. The man who works always gets success in his life. When he undertakes a piece of work, he puts his heart and soul into it and takes no rest till it is finished. To such a diligent man, rest is rust and work is worship.
Besides, hard work is bears fruits only when it is timely done and in the right direction. The man, who is hard –working but not punctual and regular in this work, cannot achieve success in life. Irregular hard work is a sheer waste of time energy.
There is popular proverb-`` don’t put off all tomorrow what you can do today’’. It is a golden rule for a successful life.
Napoleon was a great conquer. One day when he wished to invade Moscow, he called his general Grouchy to take poison at a point by the next morning. Grouch felt that the task was very difficult as a section of the Alps Range stood as a big obstacle. Grouchy expressed his fear to Napoleon, ``Sir, we can not move because of Alps range’’.
Napoleon thundered, ``ask the Alps to make way for men, if it doesn’t, smash it’’. Grouchy’s men started to clean the snowy mountain and the soldiers took positions at the point where Napoleon had wanted them to be, this work was possible only due to the punctuality of time.
All the natural phenomena are great examples of punctuality and regularity. For instance, the sun is to rise in the morning. The stars are to peep out at night and the moon is to look fair at night. The seasons come in order. The flowers blob in spring and the earth wears a green dress during spring. Indirectly, nature is also teaching us to be punctual.
Punctuality is a great virtue. One who observes it becomes virtuous. A lazy person observes cannot punctuality as he always tries to postpone his work for the future and that never comes. Delaying a piece of work for the future time is the greatest enemy of punctuality as it rightly said, ``tomorrow is an old deceiver and his cheat never grows’’. Tomorrow can be defined as a beautiful and fanciful dream which promises a lot though in may fulfill very little.
No one can gamble with time as it can neither be borrowed nor earned. Aurangzeb had once said, ``those who ruin time, time ruins them’’. Punctuality leads to discipline.
