Open Means Open Means

This is one of the most simplest way to make Yummilicious Payasam! Very few ingredients required but the end product is mindblowing! It is a common delicacy in Kerala served during practically every festive occassion.

Ingredients:

Sugar-1 cup
Milk-4 cup
Raw rice-handful (Use the white one. I have put the picture to eliminate confusion)

Raw rice looks like this-                                    The bolied version will look like this-

 3344-rice-5L                                                   rice

Method:

Put all the ingredients is a pressure cooker and put them to medium boil. Don't put the weight on top of the cooker and wait for the steam. When this happens put the cooker to sim that is reduce the flame to the minimum possible without turning it off. Keep it so for half an hour. Now turn off the heat and let the pressure cooker rest for another half hour. Now the Payasam is ready to be served. The Payasam will have a orangish tinge if made correctly and will taste like nirvana. You may garnish it with cashews if required tyhough I prefer having it plain. BON APETIT!
