What is Manicure?
Manicure is a beauty treatment of maintaining clean,beautiful and healthy finger nails and hands.I have elaborated the process of manicure in a much simpler way.It is much easy to try it yourself at home.
Things needed for the treatment of Manicure
1.Nail Cutter
2.Nail Files
3.Moisturizing Lotion
4.Shampoo
5.Liquid Soap
6.Luke warm water
7.Towel
8.Cotton
9.Nail Polish Remover
10.Nail Polish
Steps to follow
1.Remove the old nail polish using a cotton ball dipped in nail polish remover.
2.Cut your nails evenly.
3.Add few drops of shampoo and liquid soap to a bowl of Luke warm water.Soak hands in warm water for 15 minutes.
4.Remove your hands from the water and dry your hands.The nails will become very soft.
5.Cut and shape your nails using a cutter and nail filer.Shaping nails must be done in one direction only.
6.Apply moisturizing cream or lotion and massage your fingers and hands for 5-10 minutes.
7.Wipe off the excess cream using a towel or a tissue.
8.Apply the nail polish of your choice.You can also have two coats of nail polish to have a bright look.
There is also a step of pushing back the cuticles.But beware when you cut and file your nails.Because the cuticles must not be tampered as doing so may lead to infection.
Things to Avoid
1.I is good to use a nail cutter rather than a scissor to cut nails.
2.Nail polish can be kept in refrigerator to avoid drying.
3.Some times the finger nails breaks.It is good to choose a good quality nail polish.Too much of enamel causes the nails to become dry and brittle.
4.It is very important to wash your hands thoroughly to keep your finger nails free from dirt.
5.Apply raw potato and lemon juice over the finger nails to remove stains.
6.To get rid of the dark patch on the elbow put a drop of rose water,glycerine on the skin of the lemon and rub it over the dark patch.Frequent use will make the dark patch disappear.
7.Last but not least,an healthy diet rich in iron,calcium,vitamin A and B is necessary for maintaining healthy nails.
