Salads are a healthy form of food as they have many ingredients blended together to give the right taste. Macaroni salad is a delicious item which can be savoured to your heart’s content, especially during summer. Here is a recipe on how to prepare macaroni salad.
Preperation time: 10-20 minutes.
Ingredients:
- Tube or macaroni pasta: 1 cup
- Mayonnaise (for binding): 1 tbsp
- Vinegar: 2 tbsp
- Mustard powder: 1 tbsp
- Sugar and Salt: 1/2 tsp to 1 each.
- Celery (sliced): ½ cup
- Pepper powder: 1 tsp
- Chopped onions: ½ cup
Method:
- Cook and blanch 1 cup of macaroni pasta.
- Rinse and drain before putting into a bowl
- Add 1 cup of Mayonnaise.
- Add vinegar, mustard powder, sugar, salt and pepper powder.
- Put in the sliced celery pieces and the cut onions.
