Mixed Vegetable Rice is very easy to prepare and mostly this is the favorite of kids. It takes very less time to prepare with less items. There is no need to waste lot of energy to prepare as it can be prepared in 15 minutes. All vitamins and minerals are available in this mixed vegetable Rice as all variety of vegetables are available in one item. Its very tasty and healthy to consume and easy to digest.
Ingredients:
Rice - 2 cups
Moong dal -1 cup
Carrots - 2
Beans - 10
Cabbage - 1 cup
Peas - 1/2 cup
Cinnamon stick - small piece
Salt - according to the taste
Cloves - 5
Green Chillies - 3
Cumin Seeds - 1 teaspoon
Mustard Seeds -1 teaspoon
Garlic Ginger paste - 11/2 spoon
Onions -3
Turmeric powder - 1 pinch
Garam Masala - 1 spoon
Oil - 11/2 cup
Preparation process:
Take a bowl and sock Rice & Moong dal for an hour. Next chop all the vegetables mentioned in the ingredients. Heat oil by placing cooker on stove. Add cumin seeds, mustard seeds and fry them till they crack. Now mix cinnamon stick, green chillies , ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder and chopped vegetables. Now add rice and moong dal which we soaked before and let it cook for 10 minutes then pour 5&1/2 cup water in and close the lid. After 4 whistles switch off the stove and the Mixed Vegetable Rice is ready.
