Almost everyone has suffered a headache at one time or another…………………Right?

 

What is reason behind it? What exactly is hurting? Why all of sudden our head starts aching?

 

Well, stop worrying….you have answers for all the above!

 

It is shocking to know brain and skull don’t have pain receptors…..yes its true!

 

Headache originates from the nerves within the scalp, face, blood vessels, and muscles of the neck and head.

 

Different types of headaches:

 

MUSCLE TENSION HEADACHES

MIGRANE HEADACHES

CLUSTER HEADACHES

SINUS HEADACHES

 

MUSCLE TENSION HEADACHES

 

It is the most common type of headaches, caused by tensions in life. Pain may occur at two sides of head.

 

MIGRANE TENSION HEADACHES

 

It is caused by the changes that take place in blood vessels. Patients generally see flash lights etc. They prefer to be in dark place.

 

CLUSTER HEADACHES

 

As name indicates cluster headaches, patient suffers from headache several times in a day. It may stop for some days and a chance of occurring again in next month is seen. It starts from face and last for 35 minutes to 45 minutes.

 

SINUS HEADACHES

It is caused by the inflammation of sinus that is present in the face. Pain is extreme and patient could also see the nasal discharge.

 

Other type of head aches are caused by tumours, strokes, hypertension…Etc…which are rare.
