When someone is advancing in one form or the other, there is a need for him to realise what has actually happened and the next thing is safety. This thing is not primarily understood in all fields of technology. And also our tasks in the environment of safety has a steady slow improvement. Our technologies have broken the limits of human lives but in contrast to that our technologies need a slight improvement in the safety concerns.
The first and worst disaster was the Chernobyl incident. The primary safety procedures were neglected and thus a nuclear holocaust took place and thereby a violent throw of radiations and the whole area was filled with radiations. Many people lost their lives and many were affected by diseases. This took place in the former Russia (USSR). Due to this incident nowadays various new methods are employed in the safety of nuclear reactions.
Next is about the nuclear disasters in the form of wars. The first and the foremost disaster, the disaster which killed thousands of lives and is still up heaving the effects is the Hiroshima-Nagasaki nuclear holocausts. (During the second world war). Cancer is one of the most effective disease in declining the development of Japan. Our technologies cannot now bring back the original condition that prevailed in the ancient days of Japan. Although the country is developing as one of the leading countries, the ancient culture is lost in Japan.
We should be able to get ourselves in our technology more powerful in order to avoid future risks of Disasters. Today, our technologies do not support the research of real time space. Although telescopes which detect all kinds of radiations exist. The information obtained is not up to date. For the pictures or images obtained from a galaxy is some million light years old. Imagine a happening which happened during the dinosaur ages would be seen by us as a real time happening. "light speed vehicles" are the only ways to discover the unknown of space. Moreover there are other factors too. The spaceship created should supply food, Oxygen supply and many other factors are needed to be fulfilled. May be there would be a time where we discover the entire of the universe. Let us see.

Warning systems help in planned evacuation saving lives but what do you think about property. Every year billions of USDs are spent by the US government in the lost property. This isn't really fair. But this is more worse in the developing nations. Those governments suffer hugh losses and they are not able to take relief measures immediately by themselves. India, one of the developing countries cannot tally the losses due to storms. They usually take the help of others initially and the most common is the World Bank.
Earthquakes are not predictable(to the accurate level) but there is knowledge about the possibility of earthquakes in many parts of the world. Earthquake proof buildings are constructed and they resist the shock waves from the epicentre. For example Delhi metro railway is constructed such that it does not destruct during a powerful Earthquake.
