In a recent event - a debate on Kashmir situation  organised by the Amnesty international  , in Bangalore anti India slogans were chanted and army was heavily criticised. ABVP and other organisations are protesting  asking for action against the organisation . Amnesty international has been organising these events in different cities and the next one is scheduled to be in Mumbai..

The percent is far more than 5%. More than 1.3 million pellets have been fired in about 33 days. Hundreds have eye injuries, thousands have other injuries and more than 3000 security personnel are injured. Police have abandoned police stations. It is war out there and neither the State nor the Central governments have any plan up their sleeves to solve the problem. Mere verbal bold statements have no meaning. They are hollow. They are waiting for the situation to diffuse itself. what else can be done.

Honestly I don't find anything wrong with Ramya's statements because what she said was with regard to her experience there when she went to attend a SAARC meeting.  No doubt in a charged atmosphere it some people may find it unnecessary to praise a nation that has done nothing but cause harm to us. But she was speaking about the citizens there and how she was treated there..

I agree with you . Ramya, while referring Parrikkar's speech that Going to Pakistan is like Hell.,Ramya simply said Pakistan is not hell. An experience she had. Can't she express her personal experience ? Did her statement damaged the country or individual ?

Anyone can point a finger at anyone and brand him/her a traitor. What has the society come to? It was not like that till some time back.

I am very much surprised to read that 1.3 million pellets were fired and only a few hundred got injured. It clearly shows that either they did not intent to hit them directly or the mob was trained in Gorilla war. The army should take stronger action. They should finish the traitors/terrorists once forever.

The state of society is the direct result of what has been going on here for decades - the kind of communal feeling that has been roused up so far is now coming out as intolerance towards everything - reap as you sow !

One can not clap with one hand. Crops are generally on an annual basis and not on decades basis.

I read it today, it is very small issue but media treating it as Everest point. All citizen of Pakistan are not bad.

Rhetoric can not cover up facts ...I totally agree with sunil that army should deal mercilessly with traitors and terrorists . It is because of the dithering policies that things have reached this level

It is right that army is interested in hurting agitators. They only wants to repulse them. Indeed these agitators are puppets and some others are controlling them.

When politicians fail to engage and find solutions then they look to the defence forces to wipe out the ones they can not convince. Now army and CRPF will decide who are traitors and eliminate them and will be supported byvarm chair supporters.

I have lived in Kashmir for years and served army indirectly (managing projects for BRO) living in areas like Punch and Rajouri where you never know when a bullet hits you. I know the people behind these so called agitations are mostly trained terrorists and paid goons. If you cannot handle the situation then why waste billions of Rupees. Let them have it this way or that way. Our army cannot stand there merely as spectators. After all they too have basic rights to live at least.

Sedition Law cannot be used against honest views, expressed peacefully. Ramya, the Kannada Actress in response to Defence Minister, Manohar Parrikar's statement that Pakistan is hell, Ramya said that Pakistan is not hell and people are hospitable and friendly.  Ramya has not incited public nor raised anti-India Slogans. Whereas Amnesty International's meet in Bangalore led to sloganeering insulting India.

Ramya Deserves to be congratulated for not yielding to intimidation and not saying Sorry for expressing her honest views in a peaceful manner.

My cousin works with the army unit at Anantnag which is supposed to be very volatile and according to him, most days things are pretty normal but you get to see infiltrators who come in stealthily with some support from locals and cause disturbances and they make sure through either manipulation or threat, that the otherwise peaceful population begin to revolt and get into violent activities like throwing hand made bombs at army quarters or pelting stones.

Right now HM, Rajnath Singh is camping in Srinagar since yesterday. This time , the HM started talks with all parties and the talks are going on smoothly. With this political Pandits are hoping to see a solution for Kashmir problem

You or I or to that matter every Indian hopes for a solution for Kashmir problem.
