What is the future of Congress party under the present leadership?

I was going through a blog written for times of India which gave a very detailed analysis of the present status of the Congress party which has been fast dwindling in its importance as a National party except when it is sitting on dharnas against the govt or it's leaders go on a periodical Modi bashing.

Several suggestions and reasons have been put forth in the article including a change in the leadership.

What would be your honest opinion about the reasons for the failure of the party and the leadership crisis in Congress .

Please only post carefully thought out opinions and views ..

Congress faced humiliating defeats in  UP, the largest State in the Country and all other States, where in it contested for elections.

In this scenario,  Congress has no other option except to retire and leave the politics once and for all.

Who retires? You do not go away from forum for a week even after agreeing and want Congress to retire. It Will fight back as BJP did from 2 seats in Lok Sabha till t

Lett Congress fight  win. I will be the first to applaud,

It could have been ...I will be the first to retire !!!Confused

One can take it in any way.

But the truth is, it is high time for Congress to retire before it is hated  further.

That's a ridiculous statement. First of all what do you mean by retiring?? A politician can retire but how can a political party retire? An organisation or party can only be disbanded or dissolved, if I am not mistaken.

Anyway though I am a great supporter of BJP I feel that every other political parties play an important role in governing a state or nations. Just because BJP is doing a great job if other political parties are dissolved it will lead to the failure of democracies. The role of opposition is equally important as a ruling party.

Without arguing, I agree with what you said. A party cannot retire, but stop its activities.

I too am an admirer of Modi.

In a democratic country besides ruling Party other Parties should contribute  for Democracy to succeed

I agree , we don't want dictatorship but a strong ruling party and a responsible opposition. That may be asking for too much under the circumstances because our politicians are anything but mature and unselfish in their deeds..

What Krishna can do that Congress party, which sank already ?

Congress is facing its worst time because of mother and son. If congress wants to survive their party they must be took some bold decision.

Congress is not that courageous nor brave. It must say good bye and sit tight  singing Bhajans and keertans.

" payo re maine Modi ratan Dhan Paayo"

I agree that they are expressing resentment but do not agree that theycare an asset. They are spent forces like Advani etc. But it is their right to go anywhere.

Yes it is right Krishna is 74 year old I thing BJP will not give him any important post. It is right that he have right to go anywhere. But At present when congress is facing question of surviving, it may be better he serve his old party.

Krishna is mature and wise enough to decide what beneficial for him. He has said that he is fed up of dynastic politics where there is no equality or freedom..

It is not happen today, it is from last 40 years. Indira is India and India is Indirablush

Thats is the height of sycophancy and thats how they ruled ..

The thought of these Khaddar Topi wallas that Indira is India doomed them and we all know where Congress is

Since rambabu has nothing to add as usual it is better he stops posting nonsense here

It is a well known fact that Congress is doomed once and for all. I expressed the same. Such universal facts need to be repeated.

Are you a political analyst as well along with all other things you boast about yourself?

Not necessary. From the way in which Congress is facing defeat after defeat, even a child also can predict that Congress has no future.

That must  be a special child and talented like yourself..

May be. But everybody knows the reasons for miserable defeats in every State.

So when everybody knows where is the need for you to write the same thing again and again
