The eighty four kos yatra in Ayodhya is no oridnary religious yatra. Actually according to religion, there can be no yatra during current month. But the saffron brigade- particularly VHP want to create communal tension and an environment that prevailed during days of Babri destruction.

I see this more as a kind challenge to show that Hindus do matter. The government and politicians seem to discard anything Hindu and uphold only minorities. A nation with a majority of Hindus has to think twice before showing their religious inclination. Its ok to have iftar and take part in Muslim religious ceremonies( even if it is just a show) but openly being part of a hindu fesivity is considered being communal.I dont blame the VHP and others doing such a thing.I squarely blame the SP, Congress and other so called 'secular' parties for such a state of affairs. They are the root cause of the rising that is taking place among Hindu groups...

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

The VHP can't sit silently and every time they want to prove their superiority. Always in mood to create tension..

The matter is not as simple as it looks, this is related to faith of 84 crore Hindus of this country. 84 is an auspicious number for Hindus who believe the place to be birth place of Ram. But pro Muslims pseudo secular call it Babri structure intentionally having an eye on Muslim votes, their mission is limited to seek Muslim votes and make false promises. Once they reach to power with the help of their votes they do nothing but provide them few subsidies, Haz houses, donation to their institutes but they take very good care that the Muslim does not get proper education, because that can make them wiser to know their real intentions. As far Hindu votes, they know Hindus are divided cast based and their votes will come according to candidates cast. Simple as that.

The yatra is not religious but political. These days, there are no yatra according to Hindu tradition. There are some yatra in Mathura vrindavan area also called 'Parikama' but these are conducted peacefully without any involvement by politicians or VHP. The current 84 KOS yatra is designed to benefit Samajvadi party as well as VHP by way of polarization of votes. The Congress is loser.

But Akhilesh Yadav's UP Government did not give permission for the yatra and many VHP leaders were arrested today.

I am agree with you, All political parties are playing game politics, politics. I think Muslims have not any objection of the yatra. Only SP leader wants to cash it by creating disputes and securing vote bank.

The govt. is apprehensive of mischief by VHP in view of their past record and do not wish to take chances. VHP is part of Saffron brigade.

Whatever Hindus want to will be opposed by politicians dependent on Muslim votes and belonging to such parties. They have no alternative. They must show that they care for Muslims, whereas in Ayodhya such things do not make any difference to either of the communities. Elsewhere it sounds as if all hell has broken loose.

People are not involved in the 84 Kos yatra. Only VHP- an outfit of saffron brigade- is involved. The government does not restrict genuine religious activities. We have Parikama in Mathura and also yatra by Shiva devotees every year during Sawan. That all goes smoothly.

In southern India we have lot of religious activities which were never hindered by the government.
