Should multiple times commenting on a poll be allowed?

I want to discuss from all of the memebers that whether a user is allowed to comment on one poll multiple time. I think this is to only increase the number of comments and nothing to take with practicality.
I found a poll at which a user has commented 8 times. and one or two are exactly same.

I seen many times these type of poles. They are just for increasing comments and points. May be this should be permitted to the author of the poll. Because author should respond to the comments of it!!!!!

Yes, very good observation, I think this is not fair as a member can have only one opinion on a given poll. This is done just because to grad some easy points and win some rewards. I request the moderator to limit to one post per poll. This will also give other new members a chance to prove themselves.

There appears nothing wrong in multiple comments on poll. Comments should not be repeated. This is like members writing multiple posts in a single thread. Not only the creator of poll but others also may respond to comment made by anyone.

@Gulshan, But do you think, the person should have different opinion at every time he comments or should he add the same comment on the same poll twice..??

Aastha- An individual can have only one opinion and he cannot write same comment. The new comment may only be an addition of fresh material or a response to some other comment. This is like multiple posts in a single thread.

I agree with Gulshan.But then some degree of honesty should be there in the intentions of the member.

Yes --- You are right Aastha --- Hope that sort of commenting should be avoided by the members itself...

If there is a sort of discussion in commenting, then it is fine... But this sort of posting the comments continuously (consecutive posting) should not be encouraged by the members.

Such comments should not be allowed....

If there is any discussion in the comments, or want to state any valid point, then members can comment multiple times...

I was totally against such comments...
This should be followed by the members by themselves....

The test should be whether these comments are at all relevant or are made with sole intention of garnering points.

The comments when made just to earn points; should be considered seriously....

Commenting on polls is a good thing... but misusing the opportunity doesn't look good :)

Comment increase page impression for boddunan so restriction on multiple comment will decrease page impression.

I agree Santosh. The only restriction should be that the comments should not be copied or repeated.
