Now chidambaran is engaged more in keeping Mamata Banerjee in humor so that the union govts sails through. The issue of internal security is no more important to him. He has gone to the length of supporting mamata Banerjee in the wild accusation that the central forces are used by state government to kill not only Maoists but also their allies in trinmool congress.

The topic is about Chidambaran. This is definitely old thread. But when some new development or news relevant to the thread arises, the discussion can be reopened.

The Union Home Minister is responsible for combating maoists and terrorists in the entire country. Mamata Banerjee led Trinmool congress is apparently an ally of Maoists. Now the Union Home minister is more concerned with pleasing this Maoist ally rather than combating the menace of terrorism of Maoists. Some Trinmool elements are also allying with these terrorist elements. Hence the police and the para military forces of the center operating in West Bengal are operating against such elements. Mamata banerjee accused the Central para military forces of killing these elements including her party workers. The Union Home Minister instead of showing Mamata her place wrote a letter to the West Bengal Government echoing the anti national outbursts of Mamata Banerjee. Surprisingly, he leaked this letter to press with a view to seek political advantage for his ally in utter disregard of norms of correspondence, that should be confidential.

The useless correspondence is not ending. As expected West Bengal C.M. resented the use of insulting words used against CPM cadres. He used the language borrowed from mamata banerjee led Trinmool congress active ally of Maoists. surprisingly this ally of Maoists is in Union cabinet and the Union home minister has more stake in keeping her in god mood rather than dealing with Maoists.
