Dress code is the major cause for sexual harassment. It can be brought down by wearing the dress properly( proper dress).

I dont think so. But we can see major rapes are done in villages when compared with towns.

That's right even I have noticed it rape cases happens in villages also where a lady don't wear a skirt or jeans.
If that was so then all the women in the west would have been victims of this social evil. This is all about upbringing of elements who indulge in such crimes.

Skirt is normal dress in west and so this is not provocative there. In fact, whatever body part is normally covered gets attractive when exposed. In our country, skirt is not normal dress. Hence when some girl wears skirt and her legs are exposed, these attract. Sari and blouse in North India is common and so this is not so provocative. But this dress reveals waist and part of breasts. So, this may be provocative to those not accustomed to this dress. One of my friend was married to a Khasi girl in Shillong. when he came to Meerut and she wore a sari, she herself felt shy of her waist and breasts exposure.

However, whatever dress a woman wears, it is inhuman and gravely criminal to even touch her with evil thoughts. Beauty is to see and not touch.

We see that most of the rape victims come from the lower classes or from middle class families and they normally wear traditional dresses like salwar kameez and sarees, so what provocation are we talking about ? Some men get provoked because of their perverted nature, and dress hardly matters! when politicians make such statement we can judge what kind of thinking they have ...

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

These are all nonsense things these people thought.Instead of blaming others they should do their work properly.

Mind Control is necessary. Dress Code not a big matter.

Wearing mini/micro mini skirts may tempt somebody. Wearing full length skirt won't be a problem. Anyway, Everyone has the right to dress as he/she likes. Everyone should have self control.

Better to wear decent clothes. All will respect when we wear decent dress.

Well said Mary, We will get respect if we wear decent dress or we dress decently. The impression we create on others is based on the dress wear most of the times.

B) I am not agree with him. Indeed they make objection when out side wear skirt, they have not any objection for their family members.
That's what Banwari Lal Singhal, A BJP legislator in Rajasthan opines. In the present scenario of growing atrocities on women, the legislator suggests either Salwar Kameez or Shirts and trousers as the ideal school uniform to the
