The employees should adopt alternate methods of protest like attending office with black badge. They may also hold protest meetings outside office hours.

Yes govt.should take necessary steps to solve the problem as soon as possible.Because we people had to suffer for these.

It's simple blackmail in its most unacceptable form. Nationalized banks are the most poorly managed banks as their financial health would indicate. NPAs are on an alarming rise requiring regular recapitalization form taxpayers' money but all their employees are smugly and blissfully unaware of it!!
The first day of banks strike saw loss of business worth 30 thousands crores, if we take into account the entire direct and indirect loss incured due to such strikes then that would be an eye opener, but who cares!

It's not applicable for private banks.....
Many job addict employees of private banks will be happy, as they can work for 2 days.

But I have read through newspapers.....
Now, it's festival season in Kerala. So, it's affecting normal people a lot. Also, ATMs of main cities are almost empty now.

In these days strikes are archaic and out of sync with today's environment. Keep in mind that all these employees are well-paid and they are not factory hands of privately-owned companies!!
What I feel that whenever they want an undue holiday on mass scale along with hikes and other benefits, they choose to go on strike. government should deal them firmly although the government would never do that.

I don't know why Private banks never go for strikes!!!

It's the problem of our country to go on strikes even for unnecessary things, If they don't have job threat.

I didn't read the news, but just got to know that there will be 2 days of strike. Why this strike happened? what was the reason behind the strike?

Want to make each day Accountable

This cannot be undue holiday on mass scale. The employees throughout India are not to attend a single function and as such they need not strike. actually they are striking for certain demands. They fear that government aims at reorganization, merger/ demerger of banks and this may affect their employment prospects- promotion avenues or retrenchment.

But strike is not desirable. There are other ways to protest.
