The changes that internet has brought about in our lives !

It's true...internet has become a part of our daily life. Can anyone of you stay away from it more than 2-3 days?
It will appear as if we are in a dark continent alone. If net and mouse are at our finger tips, we are reaching every part of the world, contacting with every online friend of ours and of course, doing our daily job nicely. It saves a lot of time too, searching book stores and libraries for a particular data

Of course, one cannot even list out the advantages that internet has brought into our lives.It has also given a certain amount of confidence to people since they are able to manage many things by themselves , especially housewives and disabled people...I have many disabled friends on the net, who are able to interact and share things with others and feel so happy ...

But it's the poison of human minds that searches bad things even in good ones. That's why many are got cheated through social networking!!!! How many crimes are we seeing!!!! No one is noticing advantages of internet, all are emphasizing on its negative impact on youngsters.

It was just 1 month before I joined Boddunan that I got net connection in my new home. Full time, I became busy here. Since it's a village people know only negative impacts of internet. Some of my neighbours are assuming that full time I am watching porn videos in internet. Even if I am saying am earning online, I could see only unbelievable faces around me. :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry:
Their silent dirty smiles without words tell it everything.....I am sure, they have gossiped about me a lot, as a lot of people gather around gossiping in the evening :sick: :sick:
So, nowadays I have fully detached myself from my neighbourhood and fully concentrated here. Last week also, one old lady made fun of me asking are you playing with computer like a child??? :silly: :blink: :silly: :blink: :blink: :blink: :blink:

India's growth has came just because of internet. We are the No.1 Country in Outsourcing. Internet has made this possible.

Internet has revolutionized communications and administrative work like filing of returns. Growing use of internet for online applications for purposes like passport, licence etc. is helpful to people as they do not need to queue in offices. This also reduces corruption as there is less manual interference.

I can only tell you about my own experience- Now I do not regret resigning from my job as I am doing okay through internet.

LOL :laugh: I can imagine the gossip going round the place with your internet activity ! I to had some similar experience when I began using the net in 2004, my bro in law, though educated has a very limited vision where anything new or change is concerned and he would openly ask me what I did on the net?...I was not sure how to handle it because not many women known to us used the net those days.I began by using it for children's projects and then became the member of some music forums...this was considered quite bad because I would be interacting will all those anonymous bad people on the net,little realising that I too was one to those others...
As long as we take a firm grip and not really bother with any of this, others also leave us alone..

I won only a consolation prize a Titan watch. Ist prize was $10k 2nd $5k 3rd $2k, next 27 a watch each. I replaced Damien Martin by Yuvraj singh who was Injured. Damien martin scored 91 while yuvrag only 20odd. I was leading until the last day but that spoiled my dreams.

Most people have the habit of munching something while they are either watching TV or using the computer.Most of the time it is stuff like chips,fries,wafers,cookies and other savories which are all convenient food and drinking either flavored fruit juices or aerated drinks , all of which are bad for our health, we need to curb these tendencies before it gets out of hand.I see mothers buying dozens of packets of chips and other stuff for their children and probably for themselves....I doubt if that was so a couple of decades ago :dry:

Same here, I now refer to the net for every little thing and I find the information required.I make my notes of lesson too this way by noting down points which are very helpful to me.These days students are smart since they have access to the net and are well aware of current topics and subjects , so we have to stay in sync with them... :)

Very true ! Reading habit has come down , also writing habit , since typing is so much easier.No doubt that one can accomplish a lot more because everything works faster and time is utilised to well...however, one cannot simply do away with writing altogether..
