Coincidence can be replaced by chance. Luck can be replaced by the grace of God. The two are different words. People who believe in God would use the word "luck". Otherwise they would use the word "coincidence".

Luck is for the average and moderate. This means nothing to the extraordinarily talented and the laggards. To elucidate if you need 50% marks to pass, luck means nothing to one who gets 70% or more and also not to one who can get only 20% or less. similarly about reaching railway station in time. The average or mediocre have always uncertainty. So, they will talk of luck.
