Yes we can agree your words akansha. Mood is the main thing to decide music.
yes its true mood is required to decide music but sometimes music made our mood so keep listening music.
There is no doubt about it, music can change mood altogether. You feel better and light headed.
But my experience is we can not listen classical for long time because its may bore us.
That is right people who have no interest in classical can not stand it. I am also one of them.

That is the reason i listen to the music when i am stressed and alone as it makes me relaxed and fresh. :)
I listen it while people making too much noise this keeps my ears plugged and me stress free.

I think its purely depends on person and mood. I mostly like western music but, some times i like classic musics too. :)
I think every music has some period, where these songs are appreciated. In 70s and 80,even in 90s classical music was favorite and now as we are progressing,we are going towards western.

I would say both are good. I still love various Classical songs and some songs are always in my Music Library.
Young generation loves Western,me too.
in my opinion western music is the best. it really makes you feel happy at heart.

Western music makes our feet dance whereas classical music gives a little peace.

Not essential there are western songs too which are melodious and give peace when heard. :)

Yes that is true but that entirely depends upon the mood of the person.
Not only mood but capability also. If I do not know about good western classical, I would never learn.
Mood is critical as sometimes when we are not in good mood we may not like the song which we may like when we are in good mood. :)

Learning and teaching comes later on but when our mood is low, we love to hear some slow music at that time, even if we don't understand it, still we love to hear it.
True, I love to hear all kind of music, but I like slower one especially Gazels most.

Ghazals are slow and most of them are sad that's why i listen to them only when i am sad and alone. :)
