Mamata is becoming famous now for her dictatorial methods. She has lost people's faith.

If you are in Bengal, and still writing on Mamata, you are indeed very courageous. She may even go to the extent of kidnapping her critics and thrashing black and blue.

Yea! She has been very disappointing so far! What disgusts me is her compulsive habit of shooting off the mouth!

I agree. Now she is not in opposition. Delivering good administration and not blaming others including press, intelligentsia, TV channels will help. The call for social boycott- even taking tea with Marxists- is indeed funny. Political rivalry must not affect social relations. I remember that Mrs. Subhadra Joshi was a prominent Congress leader whereas her husband B.D. Joshi was a Communist. This did not affect their family life. There is nothing wrong in members of same family joining different political groups.

It's absolutely ridiculous to even think in these terms but it was not her suggestion.Though her silence indicates endorsement! To be fair enough Marxists in Bengal actually practised it without saying it in so many words particularly in the rural areas!

Marxists differ. They believe in class war and totalitarianism. We do not expect any democratic or civilized behavior from them. But the so called democratic political parties openly say what the Marxists might have done clandestinely without declaring.

During their 34 years' uninterrupted rule the Communists in Bengal under the delusion of creating a Proletariat state let loose a reign of terror leaving little space for other democratic parties and the result has been disastrous as far as creation of an alternative was concerned. We see politician like Mamata Banerjee seizing this space and now going by her utterances and actions, she has been trying to model herself on her predecessors. Very difficult are days ahead of this state!!

Continuing her anti democratic trend, Mamata Banerjee asked people to listen songs and not news. Meanwhile there is report of West Bengal Government starting own newspaper. However, this newspaper will go to the left if they again return to power. It may be better if Trinmool launches own party newspaper.

Those who ignore the lessons of history are condemned to re-learn them at a huge cost!

Actually our politicians are not getting above the party lines and self interests. For them interest of the nation is the last priority.
