I remember that Mrs. Subhadra Joshi was a prominent Congress leader whereas her husband B.D. Joshi was a Communist. This did not affect their family life. There is nothing wrong in members of same family joining different political groups.

Marxists differ. They believe in class war and totalitarianism. We do not expect any democratic or civilized behavior from them. But the so called democratic political parties openly say what the Marxists might have done clandestinely without declaring.

During their 34 years' uninterrupted rule the Communists in Bengal under the delusion of creating a Proletariat state let loose a reign of terror leaving little space for other democratic parties and the result has been disastrous as far as creation of an alternative was concerned. We see politician like Mamata Banerjee seizing this space and now going by her utterances and actions,she has been trying to model herself on her predecessors. Very difficult are days ahead of this state!!

Continuing her anti democratic trend, Mamata Banerjee asked people to listen songs and not news. Meanwhile there is report of West Bengal Government starting own newspaper. However, this newspaper will go to the left if they again return to power. It may be better if Trinmool launches own party newspaper.

During 34 years they mashed the state.No system and infrastructure.Mamata,s administration is taking action.many teachers did not attend school and did party works and took salary day after day.
Now they are forced to attend school and this is not digesting by them and making issue.
Mamata is a only CM who already solved the Darjeeling issue and moist issue.
She made many fund and working for undeveloped area .

There is nothing about policies. The comment is only about her totalitarian, undemocratic attitude and harassment of even low paid teachers on partisan grounds. Recent arrest of a professor for posting a cartoon in facebook, harassment of lady police officer for action against rapist and asking for social boycott like not marrying left oriented persons and not even taking tea are enough signals to see what is in store. Mamata is simply anarchist turned administrator. One year experience suffices to see the trend of the ruling class in West Bengal.

Cartoon is very important component of journalism since even before independence era. There were cartoons of Indira Gandhi, Pt Nehru and others. If you are so sensitive about cartoons, i fear, you are not worthy of any position in a democratic set up.

To my mind one's subjective mindset, obdurate refusal to study the present in conjunction with the past and distance do prevent making an objective study. The people of West Bengal have been witness to far worst form of anarchy in all spheres of life during the Marxist rule.
