I mean a high-school in Panchayat,
A graduate in assemblies and in corporations. A qualified professional as a chief minister.
A postgraduate in Parliament
A professional as a minister
A prominent politician and specialist as head of state and prime-ministerial post
you think so or you think that we should carry on as we are doing right now.

Yes, that too and some sort of an intelligence test be designed exclusively for these people! Unless they pass that, they should not be allowed to enter the elections!

Yes, I have quoted before also. For every government service, a minimum qualification is fixed. Then why not it is applicable for members of parliament?
And what about DP yadav and Raja Bhaiyya? What was the big deal? Does it give a sign of things to come?

Chief Minister forms his cabinet. We as citizens are not so much concerned with whom the C.M. appoints. We are concerned with performance of the government. The government has just been formed. we must wait and see performance of government.
Also I think a retirement age should be there.Else they may say something and change in next minute!

Yes....of course....
A law should be brought into effect...one person can be MLA or MP for certain number of times only. It will give young people more oppurtunity

That's because their qualification is only sackfuls of money to get past the doors of the parliament!

They would agree on just one point without any debate- Hike in allowances and salaries. Nothing else. Do you think any one would accept any of these qualifications to be part of their candidature?

Never even dream about it...
also they are very jealous if they see educated people among them...this happened to Sasi Tharoor.
Everyone in the party was not satisfied till he was brought down. isn't it?

Don't think for a moment there are not enough educated persons in different houses but they prefer to act the way they do.

I wouldn't say jealousy for Shashi Tharoor brought him down, it was his own foolishness is certain matters!

Actually he was a business man rather than a politician. Yet, I would like to say, even Congress people don't like him.
My vote has gone to waste box :( :(

Sad!! He is not a businessman but a bureaucrat with absolutely no tact, and without fail always managed to put his foot in his own mouth!! :woohoo:
The biggest drawback of Shashi Tharoor is that he is totally cut off from common people and he is arrogant. He dubs the economy class in Air Lines as 'cattle class'. It can be well imagined what he would say about Indian Railways. He is sarcastic but not constructive enough to do anything positive.
He promised many new things for Thiruvananthapuram....he even said that he will change the face of capital city.We believe him seeing he is a very intelligent and talent fellow. Votes of full youths of our district went to him that he won with a majority of 1 lakh votes.
But he comes to our state only for inaugurations :cheer: :cheer: (and for his own marriage reception parties    )
There are many people in wrong places where they do not deserve or belong to. They may be good in their own professions but not in other places. Every place has its own way of working and decorum.

That is what caused his downfall! He thinks he is far superior above the rest of the people!

There are many such people who are peoples elected representative but they know nothing about people or their problems. Please do not say we elected them. they come from back doors. Via Rajya Sabha, the Upper house.
Yes if a educated person is on a high post the our country rise up and become successful as other country.
