Anna hazare threatens to start another movement/fast...

If the govt has agreed to pass the bill then no need to go on hunger strike .

But Gulshanji the present set of our democrats have created dangerous barriers to the entry of honest,right-minded people! Just go through the pages of Vohra committee's report on electoral reforms which incidentally has been shelved permanently! There are enough honest party workers in every but everyone knows how tickets are distributed!!

distribution of tickets is an issue within the various parties. It is upto the political parties to encourage youngsters to become active politicians.

Let the leadership present political parties display minimum honesty and wisdom of selecting the right people for fighting elections and consider them for ministerial appointments, before honest people feel encouraged to enter politics!

The issue is that everyone wishes to enter political party only for electoral politics. More honest people should join the parties and get dominant position there. They would ensure that party ticket is given to party workers and not outsiders, which is for considerations other than party loyalty. There needs be more inner party democracy. There should be change in election rules to ensure that ticket for elected post is not given to those outside the organization is not given to non party candidates or those who joined very recently.

For the first time, team anna invited political leaders to attend their gathering. BJP, Left and some other non congress leaders attended. This enabled the gathering to listen to other viewpoint as well. some of these leaders expressed support to team anna but also advised that team should not accept that whatever they say will be accepted by parliament. Inother words, team anna cannot dictate to parliament. If team anna listens to the sane advice, it will be good for all. Otherwise, team anna alone will be responsible for anarchic activity.

anna is getting prejudiced against congress and Rahul Gandhi personally. It appears that he is more interested in maligning Rahul Gandhi and Congress rather than Lok Pal Bill and corruption. Thus he is playing not only in hands of his own team members like Kiran Bedi and Kejriwal but also other opposition leaders. Ultimately this will lead him nowhere.

True, but the fact is that tickets are given only to those kinds who can amass enormous amounts of funds for the party and carry a big number of goons who can strong arm common people to vote. The known fact is that in Maharashtra at least, there is a big and very very strong lobby of builders who influence political proceedings. Entry of an honest person amongst such anarchy is a near impossible dream.

I agree! He maybe labelled as an anarchist, but he still has catalyzed our awakening to the major issue of corruption. He will do what he is destined to!

History records ananrchical development spearheaded by great revolutionary leaders which were preludes to revolutionary changes and some people who kept on analysing those acitvities as purely anarchical were proved completely wrong. I just refer to event before French and Russian revolutions!

I agree. History has always seen a lot blood when revolutionary changes have occurred and such changes are usually the results of total anarchy in governing styles! Present times can be called peaceful when prices are increasing alarmingly even for basic food commodities and the gap between the rich and poor is widening more than ever. If now is not the time to do something about it, then when is?
