    If men can stay single, why not women. Marriage is not so much an essential option. many women feel secure and independent as single. This shows their faith in self. They would marry for companionship and not for getting economic support and security.

    Well i think Gulsha ji and Isha has answered correctly. In Western culture it is not new but in Indian culture it is somewhat new and society is not showing any indifference too.

    In these days some women are preferring to be single as there can have a gud carrer .Once they are bond up with a relation it might be difficult to handle their career as beforeand they cannot be independent.

    In women life marriage is not much compulsory
    that is the parents and elders who make women force to get married as they cannot protect her for life long. If the women can protect herself then she can stay single.
