I am for removing corruption. Anna is not fighting against corruption but is really acting as a stooge of communal, fascist and anarchist elements.

He has been running NGO in Mumbai. A single NGO cannot be considered as civil society. The central government opportunistically encouraged Hazare team with a view to sideline the opposition during the assembly polls and to divert public attention from 2g and CWG scams.

Lok Pal Bill is before parliament. It is for parliament to consider the bill and pass this as it is, with amendments or reject this asking Government to present another stronger Bill. The proposed fast and movement by Anna is irresponsible, undemocratic and anarchist.

I think Corruption is biggest problem of India. India could not get freedom till corrupted politicians exists.

Lok Pal Bill is already presented before parliament and bill may be passed as such, in amended form or returned to cabinet for redrafting stronger bill. Objections to the bill could be placed in parliament. Hunger strike for indefinite period and other coercive measures are definitely undemocratic and anti parliament.

Obviously anna is neither Gandhi nor is there any Andhi. Mobocracy is not democracy.

i dont know if anna is right or wrong..whether he is facist or communal..all i know is that as a person growing up all i have heard or seen is just talks about india being so corrupt, various scams involving so many influencial people..and in such a dark anna has arrived as a slight ray of light..

And he has definitely got the people behind him,.just while post this im sitting beside a man in metro who is wearing a hat and it has 'im with anna' printed on it..i have never seen something like this before..and i would surely like to be with anna rather than being with such a corrupt govt.

The issue is what is corruption, who is corrupt and who is honest. There is no such thing as honest citizens and corrupt ones. One may be working in municipality and getting bribe but he will also pay bribe in court. Thus the issue of bribe and corruption is like Dowry system. You receive dowry for son and pay for daughter. Similarly, you pay bribe in one place for getting your work and also receive this when some one comes to you.

As most of people- businessmen, politicians, bureaucrats, lawyers, hospitals, courts- almost everyone is corrupt and all receive as well as pay bribe, it is difficult to say who will fight for what and against whom. Already there are CBI and vigilance commission as well courts where complaints can be made. But people give bribe for some purpose and benefit and they similarly receive in their own job. So, why should people complain. If no complaint, no action- Lok Pal or no Look Pal. Moreover, Govt. have already presented Lok Pal Bill in parliament and this can be passed or amended in parliament. So, there is no basis for anna movement. The movement is not only purposeless, this will result in total anarchy and lawlessness and harm people.

So what do you suggest gulshan ji that we should continue taking and giving bribes.This cycle which you mentioned above will go on for ever and the future generations will also have to suffer like us because no one does anything.And in all this if anna has shown the gumption to stand up against the govt then why should we not support it.Is it being suggested to pull him down?

As for the lok pal bill in the parliament, we know for a fact that half the ministers there ARE corrupt! they even have criminal charges on them! and they have presented a bill that safeguards them against any swift action.. it is obvious there is going to be no amendment to that bill by the ministers on their own! that is when the civil society has to step in!

Anna is Anna why we compare him with Gandhji. Gandhi ji was great personality no one can take him place.

thats very true santosh but in todays world anna is the only person i see who can even minutely be compared to gandhi ji.

Anna is neither communal nor fascist, his character is being maligned by the likes of stupid Digvijay singh! for all those who call him a communal and fascist would do well to learn first about what Anna is and what he has been doing all his life! Their may have been some mistakes on his part but compared to the ones in power who, whose party has been the governing power of the country fro more than 50 years and looking at the great mess they have created, highlighting those mistakes would be foolish!

Sms etc can show support but you will not able to face lathicharge through sms...so actual support is required.
