Honesty is the best policy. This is age old proverb. But this policy works only if most people are honest. When most people are dishonest and unscruplous, honesty becomes a bad policy for the few 'honest'.

Now let me point out anomaly in what is considered 'aam aadami' or 'common man'. The AAP party has invented an artificial division between 'aam' and 'khaas'. Normally, we consider that the poor citizens are common men whereas the more affluent and powerful are 'khas' of important pesons- VIPs. But kejriwal said that all honest are 'aam aadamai' and even the honest affluent are aam adami whereas the corrupt are 'khas'.

Here I may point out that 'aam adami' really means only the ordinary men who are relatively poor and have low status in society. Thyis has nothing to do with personal character. Moreover, AAM AADAMI party as well as the ANNA moverment from which AAP branched out wrongly consider that govt. machinery alone is corrupt whereas other sections of society including the wealthy businessmen, corporate, religious shrines etc are 'honest' or victim of corruption by bureaucracy or even poor Baboo (clerk)

Obviously such faulty notion cannot remove corruption. Recently, many aam aadami (common citizens and not aam aadami party) collaborated with government staff/ / meter readers to ensure that the meters indicate only the consumption within free limit. Kejriwal has taken disciplinary action against staff. Here who is more guilty- the aam aadami (citizen or consumer) ort the Jal Nigam staff.

Moreover, same person may be so called aam aadami and a citizen for various services whereas a khas adami in his own job. For example, a train ticket examiner is a 'khas adami' in railway but he will also be 'aam adami' in hospital, RTO or other places.

As long as drastic action is not taken against the aam aadami (common citizens) who bribe or corrupt the govet machinery for their own benefit, corruption cannot be removed. Corruption is to be considered from another angle. Really corruption is a tool that works in favor of the rich and against the poor. Thus corruption is more a matter of the rich depriving the poor rather than bureaucracy versus public or so called aam aadami.

A thought provoking account about the general notion about AAM and Khas prevailing in the society. Its more than truth about an honest man amidst dishonest. He looks an odd man out and the very purpose of the word HONESTY will be defeated.

They might find it difficult to search hones candidates but their task is not tough. They have to find only one per constituency. If we divide with number of voters it will be around 1.2 million people per seat. Is it that hard to find one honest person out of 1.2 million?

They might find it difficult to search hones candidates but their task is not tough. They have to find only one per constituency. If we divide with number of voters it will be around 1.2 million people per seat. Is it that hard to find one honest person out of 1.2 million?

Finding an honest person is not that hard. But that particular person's readiness to work for a noble cause also should be present in that honest person. Its the combination of these two traits make the things complicated and a hard task.
